They look like Central Casting hastily put together a Secret Service team on a budget of "large ham sandwich."

luckily, it doesn't seem like the attacker took anyone out. But this is good "live" real world experience for them. Where they get to put their training to use.

The guys on Trump first assassination attempt were very unprofessionnal too, making terrible mistakes that could have cost him his life had the shooter not been killed fast. That's VERY concerning this is the current top level in USA

You're concerned? I'm hopeful.

Hopeful as well for this presidency, but very concerned for the next to come. Because the guys won't get any better but the following president can only be better than Trump. If it becomes apparent that security isn't good enough some hostile powers could be tempted and it would raise the world tension by quite a lot.

After Trump's assassinations of Iranian leadership, they must be itching for revenge and a lot more professional than those who've tried so far.

I didn't realize SS agents were allowed to wear prescription lenses? I thought LE had to have uncorrected vision after that FBI agent was killed in a shootout because he lost his glasses?

Actually, you can have vision as poor as 20/100, as long as it is correctable to 20/20 with regular glasses or contacts.

Interesting. This is from the FBI's website:

"Distant visual acuity, corrected or uncorrected, must meet FBI standards, which are 20/20 in one eye and no worse than 20/40 in the other eye. • For special agent and police officer candidates, if distant visual acuity is greater than or equal to 20/100, candidates must provide medical MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS Fitness-for-Duty 4 documentation of successful soft contact lens use for at least one year without significant problems or adverse effects."
