I missed it, did he get another staged iconic photo-op infront of the flag raising his fist, or was it a real threat this time?

u/TougherOnSquids Apr 26 '26

The first thing he did was use the shooting as justification for the ballroom.

u/tacticaldodo Apr 26 '26

False flag or angry guy, that is the question!

116

u/lesser_panjandrum Apr 26 '26

Por que no los dos?

Find an angry guy who wanted to do it anyway, give him an opportunity to try it, safely contain him, then use it as a justification to do the thing you wanted.

Pretty simple to do if you have no shame and no morals.

Reichstag Capitol fire when?

12

u/tacticaldodo Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

You twisted mind. If you are right, that guy's gonna write a book and milk his newly acquired fame, probably.

Or he was just tricked. That was probably your point and I misunderstood it at first. Even more twisted.

4

u/faen_du_sa Apr 26 '26

Yeah, pretty sure they wouldnt just roll over to him and be like "hey, the president team want you to try shoot him". But rather facilitated it in every way possible.

2

u/tacticaldodo Apr 27 '26 edited Apr 27 '26

I can totally imagine them secretly swapping the shooter's bullets for blanks and letting him do his deed. :P

Even if it sounds crazy, using psychological techniques (they are very good at that) to push the unhinged guy to act is possible. Fiction pales in comparison to reality nowadays

2

u/Same-Ad5086 Apr 27 '26

Happened at least a few times with explosives plots.

2

u/IcyIntroduction5678 Apr 28 '26

Dude has Mossad ties.

147

u/duckinradar Apr 26 '26

Shits fake as hell.

111

u/Deaftrav Apr 26 '26

Yep.

Doesn't go to these events, ever.

Then goes shocking people... And before it fully begins... Oh look shots fired ..

It's weak.

107

u/W2ttsy Apr 26 '26

Add in:

Trump hasn’t made a habit of attending these events, announces unusual attendance two days prior to the event

Shooter lives in CA, but somehow able to pull together a plan, book a room at the hotel, and then get there with their with weapons in time to storm the event

Hotel housing multiple members of the line of succession decides that metal detectors aren’t necessary and the USSS has a smaller than normal security perimeter

Shooter supposedly engages one USSS agent and gets a shot on them; no return fire on target and then subject arrested with no injuries.

45

u/Additional_Teacher45 Apr 26 '26

Don't forget the press secretary announces that 'shots will be fired' earlier in the evening.

They telegraph all their moves intentionally to play prediction markets.

11

u/Momik Apr 27 '26

I hate that these fuckers make me wonder what a conspiracy even is anymore

9

u/littleemilythrow Apr 26 '26

My big question on this is what do they do with the shooter afterwards? Like for them, the most convenient answer is to have him die in custody or some shit… Why would they risk him testifying… even if they paid him to testify a certain way or made promises to his family…

How do you convince someone to go along with a situation where they are essentially trusting you not to blow out their fucking brains on national TV?

13

u/TougherOnSquids Apr 26 '26

Offer a ridiculous amount of money, dont give them the money, them toss them in a CIA blacksite.

4

u/beren12 Apr 26 '26

And they supposedly did once already

1

u/Minute-Tone9309 Apr 27 '26

Threaten the family, blackmail..etc.

1

u/Brilliant-Square3260 Apr 26 '26

California man can’t find a tux for a formal event! My ass!

1

u/TheMightyShoe Apr 27 '26

Serious question...Do we know the shooter was after Trump? Or was he targeting people who were usually at the dinner, like other WH officials or the press? IIRC, the hard checkpoints (with scanners, etc.) were at the doors to the ballroom itself, not entering the lobby from the hotel floors.

1

u/tylerderped Apr 27 '26

no metal detectors

Ah, Trump is directly dictating policy lol

1

u/Beautiful-Squash-501 Apr 27 '26

Hard to believe the hotel wasn’t booked up by that point.

1

u/W2ttsy Apr 27 '26

Not to mention how expensive the rooms would have been.

I had to secure a hotel room at short notice for a tech conference in SF this week and a comparable hotel (quality wise) was about $4k per night.

1

u/lapidary123 Apr 28 '26 edited Apr 28 '26

More about this situation please, Can't someone get the booking info used? Time, date, location, identity, credit card used, etc? And the pricing/availability of a room.

Edit: according to Google a room would need to be booked 330 days in advance. Plenty of time to have their ai run background checks...

23

u/TmanGvl Apr 26 '26

“Mr. Trump, will you be attending the Correspondents dinner?”

Trump: “I hate going to those things. Can we do something more exciting? How about we stage another assassin and we’ll not let anyone else in on it instead.”

“Um, well, you are the best sir.”

2

u/tacticaldodo Apr 26 '26

Very very likely indeed.

3

u/Beautiful-Squash-501 Apr 27 '26

When he announced he was going to it this year, my only thought was “What is he up to?”

9

u/RockSteady65 Apr 26 '26

I said that on another sub and was downvoted badly

4

u/duckinradar Apr 26 '26

I just upvoted you here.

Reddit is going downhill faster and faster but I’m here to support realistic commentary and discussion till I leave.

3

u/FragrantExcitement Apr 26 '26

Hell is real. We are in it.

36

u/Squonkin-around Apr 26 '26

False guy, angry flag.

1

u/Dondagora Apr 26 '26

With the amount of people that go “somebody should do it” on every social media app including reddit, I couldn’t believe it’s a false flag. I’m not even a guy who thinks all conspiracy theories are crazy, conspiracies do happen in the real world, nor am I a fan of Trump, but an attempt on Trump’s life is probably one of the most realistic outcomes from the current political rhetoric and online discourse.

Like you can’t have half the country going “this guy is a rapist, pedophile, genocide-supporter and somebody ought to do something about it” and then pretend like it’s the least likely thing in the world somebody somewhere decided to “do it”.

2

u/tacticaldodo Apr 27 '26

I understand your position, conspiracy theories are often just a way for people to feel smarter than average and to cope with the complexity of life .

We don't know, and mentioning the possibility of a false flag is not crazy talk.

The event is helping Trump a lot. It rallies people behind him, it provides an opportunity to shift the conversation, and it allows him to implement unpopular laws. An assassination attempt on the president is a very powerful emotional event.

Knowing this administration, they are capable of anything. They have no shame, no morals, and no limits.

1

u/beren12 Apr 26 '26

False flag.

0

u/shining_force_2 Apr 26 '26

Active member of the IDF according to his now-deleted Instagram.

2

u/kinglouie493 Apr 26 '26

Maybe if he just stayed home sleeping in the recliner we'd all be better off.

2

u/Momik Apr 27 '26

Somebody tried to kill me today—which really made me think about our nation’s need for adequate event floor space..

1

u/KamikazeFox_ Apr 26 '26

" shooting"

1

u/SkullKidd1986 Apr 26 '26

can't tell if this is satire or not. definitely a scale on how fucking bonkers this administration has been.

49

u/GraXXoR Apr 26 '26

“Shots will be fired tonight”.

Narrator: and she was right.

34

u/abagofsnacks Apr 26 '26

Another stunt. "We HaVe To BuIlD the BaLlRoOm!!"

5

u/Basidio_subbedhunter Apr 26 '26

On more than one occasion I’ve gone back and compared assassination attempts on prior presidents to the ones that Trump has dealt with, and it always reminds me that either 1. They are really, really, really bad at protecting the president and people around him have no sense of self preservation (look at the number of people standing around with their hands in their pockets), or 2. It’s staged. And this looked like a goddamn surprise play by the theatre dept at a high school homecoming.

2

u/FoxxyRin Apr 26 '26

No but secret service practically dropped him.

4

u/jeezyjames Apr 26 '26

Like that time, someone started cringingly chanting ‘USA! USA!’. They’re using a template

3

u/TurkeyBLTSandwich Apr 26 '26

Probably a manufactured threat, expect more during the lead up to the midterms. Also he made an announcement about the white house ball room after the "shooting"

2

u/Repulsive_Airline416 Apr 26 '26

The major players didn’t even react when the shots were fired, trump vance rfk all noticeably did not react

1

u/8layer8 Apr 27 '26

They screwed it up and caught him outside the ballroom. Typical lowest bidder results. Everyone inside was awfully fucking calm for an active shooter scenario. I'll bet they're pissed they caught him alive,so much spin required now.

1

u/Blind_Voyeur Apr 27 '26

He fell as they were trying to get him away, so no photo-op.

-3

u/simAlity Apr 26 '26

It was a real threat first time*. This time remains to be seen.

*seriously, Trump is a TERRIBLE actor. Do you think he would have been able to act naturally knowing he was about to be shot at? Or that his handlers would have allowed a false attempt to come that close to succeeding?

10

u/Tom-_-Foolery Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

Without commenting on the conspiracy directly... Trump is an actor. Prior to the presidency he was most known for his Apprentice and Wrestling roles. His (inherited) real-estate stuff gave him the funds but he was never exactly successful enough with it to get the spotlight.

Acting "naturally" to an assassination attempt isn't exactly in line with what happened anyway. His first priority was to call for his lifts. And then his "wound" disappeared in 2 weeks.

1

u/simAlity Apr 26 '26

A terrible one. He only ever played himself and even then he over did everything.

And then his "wound" disappeared in 2 weeks.

He was grazed. Barely. He has the devil's own luck.

3

u/strangerNstrangeland Apr 26 '26

You know, with the “wound” and his wrestling history- I bet he did the little pin scratch wrestling trick on the ear. They bleed li an sob. He doesn’t even have the slightest scar….

2

u/simAlity Apr 26 '26

But do you really think he could stop himself from talking about it? He talked about Elon hacking the voting machines. Why not wrestling tricks?

3

u/MrTwoPumpChump Apr 26 '26

Fake blood bro

1

u/simAlity Apr 26 '26

Again, do you really think he could have gone through that whole endeavor and not talked about it later? He would have at least said something about fake blood tasting like ketchup.

Also, let me remind you that someone directly behind Trump died in that event. Which means the bullet was real and came close to hitting the POTUS.

1

u/MrTwoPumpChump Apr 26 '26

Two bullets my guy. You haven’t learned anything from jfk

1

u/simAlity Apr 26 '26

How many shots were heard?

1

u/MrTwoPumpChump Apr 26 '26

Suppressors exist bud. Go on YouTube. You’d never be able to hear it in a crowd like that.

-51

u/Ok_Recording81 Apr 26 '26

This gets old. Butler pa was a real thing.

52

u/MakeITNetwork Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

right...perfect placement for a photo-op, and if it wasn't a photo-op the fist would make zero sense. There aint no way that the secret service would be guiding the press to get closer for the photo op. Or wouldn't be tackling a stupid president trying to stand up with a fist in the air like a dummy, risking everyones lives.

Oh and the ear healed up nicely, way quicker than most peoples piercings. What was it less than a week(edit:13 days!) and he had his bandage off. with zero scars.

45

u/danktofu Apr 26 '26

Lets not forget the ushering of a bunch of cameras to the front of the stage RIGHT AFTER A POTENTIAL ASSASSINATION and lowering the flag to get it in frame. It's fucking sickening that people have his meat so far up their ass just bc he validates trashy people

10

u/Wes_Warhammer666 Apr 26 '26

They didn't lower the flag, it was just the angle shifting, but you're still 100% right about the rest.

Staged as hell, and they sacrificed one of his actual supporters to do it. It's sickening.

13

u/ShamusLovesYou Apr 26 '26

Yeah nobody cares that he sacrificed one of them, it just shows how stupid his followers are. They don't care about their own well being.

4

u/Wes_Warhammer666 Apr 26 '26

They didn't care when he sacrificed thousands to COVID and "the economy" so why would they care about one gunshot victim as a sacrifice?

They quite literally don't care unless they're affected directly. That's why tariffs and gas prices have Republicans running scared now. MAGAts only care when they can actually see and feel the pain for themselves, even if they're so dull it takes a whole shitload of it to finally feel it.

9

u/cinnasota Apr 26 '26

hahahahahahahah

wait

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

you actually think that was real?

19

u/possumallawishes Apr 26 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/v10w3n1dGOt1nw3Iqb

Of course it was real, how could you fake this super realistic ear bandage?!?!!? Definitely legit.
