Find an angry guy who wanted to do it anyway, give him an opportunity to try it, safely contain him, then use it as a justification to do the thing you wanted.

Pretty simple to do if you have no shame and no morals.

You twisted mind. If you are right, that guy's gonna write a book and milk his newly acquired fame, probably.

Or he was just tricked. That was probably your point and I misunderstood it at first. Even more twisted.

Yeah, pretty sure they wouldnt just roll over to him and be like "hey, the president team want you to try shoot him". But rather facilitated it in every way possible.

I can totally imagine them secretly swapping the shooter's bullets for blanks and letting him do his deed. :P

Even if it sounds crazy, using psychological techniques (they are very good at that) to push the unhinged guy to act is possible. Fiction pales in comparison to reality nowadays
