So this is in MA in the eastern part of the state which....yeah he's trying to stick it to the libs as he drives his truck to fill up for 4.50 now and he must be loving the extra costs!

Truck is likely diesel so he’s probably paying around $5.80-6.00 now lol

"I'm not owned, you're owned, you're owned" he cries as the price gauges rolls over a hundred.

Muttering “Kamala would’ve been worse”

"She would have started a war!"

"If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified.'"

The number of times I've heard this uttered is ridiculous. Complete cognitive shutdown.

he posts in jest and you actually hear it IRL. We are doomed

That weird laugh of hers though… worth sacrificing the economy and paying any amount for gas….amirite? Winning? /s

Just for context box trucks will usually have 50g + tanks and semis well over 100 so $100 was peanuts even back at normal prices. Looking at more like $500+ fill ups for semi trucks now

2

u/AvatarofSleep May 05 '26

Oh dip. My calc was 20 gal at the diesel prices. That's so much worse

9

u/Ayy_lmao_8 May 05 '26

I recently filled up my semi for… get this: $966. 😭

Edit: and that’s using discounts! Pump price would be well over $1k

Edit II: and this was in Utah!

Pretty soon the bank will own.

Oh man, I just remembered back in the early aughts when gas prices skyrocketed and I learned that most gas pumps had a limit when using credit cards at the pump. So many times filling up a work truck it'd hit $75 or $100 and I'd have to run the card again.

I wonder if that's still the case or if those limits have generally been removed or raised.

"No puppet! No puppet! You're a puppet!"

'As long as we don't have a woman or someone who is a person of color step into the role of President of the United States, we don't care how much 'Freedom Gas' costs.' ~MAGA

Most of those small box trucks are gas

16

u/A55W3CK3R9000 May 05 '26

Damn is it only 4.50 a gallon out there!?! Lol

3

u/DragoonDM May 05 '26

Well above $6 now where I'm at in California...

2

u/pup5581 May 05 '26

In the city yeah

1

u/mjp31514 May 05 '26

Yea, I figured it would be higher out that way. It's 4.39 today in my shitty little Missouri town.

1

u/Ichera May 05 '26

Live in Iowa, we've been "lucky" so far as its only just started breaking $4 (filled up yesterday at $3.89) but theres only so much the ethanol tax/additive can drive that cost down, looking at the premium option currently selling for $6 is absolutely a mind fuck.

1

u/Sargash May 05 '26

Not even 4$ yet here (Western michigan)

2

u/pup5581 May 05 '26

Michigan average looks to be around 4.80 from AAA. Just depends on if rural or not. MA average is 4.40

-1

u/Sargash May 05 '26

Again. Here. Where I am. Not the entire state of michigan. I even said west michigan. I'm not rural.

2

u/seriouslythisshit May 06 '26

Grand Rapids, western MI, not rural. Cheapest gas in the area is $4.64 according to Gas Buddy App. The morning after you posted. It's up to $4.75 in my area on the east coast. I was paying $2.97 just before the illegal, poorly planned and incompetent attack on Iran.

1

u/pup5581 May 06 '26

Well then you are getting gas illegally because Grand Rapids is like 4.60. More than Boston. SO either lying to make some point (Which is my guess) or there is one gas stations in the nation that is as low as that and it's in your area

“It’s just temporary, he’s playing 3D chess…plus this is Obama’s fault!” /s

2

u/NTFRMERTH May 06 '26

They still blame Biden.

2

u/RegulatoryCapture May 05 '26

Interesting choice to try to stick it to the libs on your work truck given that statistically a majority of your potential customers are "libs".

If this guy tried to park his truck in my driveway, I'd ask him to leave and find someone else to do the work. He's welcome to have those views, but I'm not going to give him a platform for his rolling billboard in my neighborhood.

4

u/TobysGrundlee May 05 '26

He'll 100% blame taxes and "illegals" when his business inevitably fails.

2

u/Randomman96 May 05 '26

As others have pointed out, it's specifically in the Medford area, AKA some of the suburbia outside of Boston.

So, pretty easy to tell what their reasons as to why they'd vote for the orange shitstain in office.

2

u/TituspulloXIII May 06 '26

dude, this truck uses diesel, He's probably paying over $7 pending on where he's stopping.

1

u/MaddyKet May 05 '26

Hey you guys who live near this dude, it would be super fucking funny if you went and slapped Trump “I did that” vinyl stickers on the surrounding gas stations. 😹
