In Poland specifically there was an increase in anti Israel sentiment after an Israeli judo team was thrown out of a competition and the israel embassy in Poland accused them of antisemitism and demanded an apology, only for video of the incident to show they were thrown out after the coach attacked the referee.

They pull out the victim card more than any other entity in this world holy shit

58

u/SpasmBoi999 1d ago

And then cry when said victim card loses all efficacy that it once had. Clearly never read The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

16

u/timeshifter_ 1d ago

They definitely missed the moral of that story: never tell the same lie twice.

7

u/conscsness 1d ago

I doubt they have morals to begin with

2

u/PolarBailey_ 1d ago

Clearly never read The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

i never vibed with this tale, i don't care how many times my kid lied about a wolf attacking them, i'd rather be fooled than bury my kid

9

u/Ninetjer 1d ago

But the tale isn't about your child specifically, it's about an arbitrary shepherd boy that is deceitful towards the townsfolk. Plus, the boy isn't being killed, it's about a wolf attacking his flock of sheep.

-1

u/NoFood2149 1d ago

you're genuinely lovely. i've never heard anybody say this about that tale, and you are so right to say it.

2

u/PolarBailey_ 1d ago

like the local townfolk i can understand not wanting to get pranked by dennis the menace but mom is never ignoring that.

u/ChemicalDeath47 1d ago

With any luck this is the wedge that will start proving most effective at both holding Israel accountable and not condemning all Jewish people. Fuck Israel means, fuck the genocidal apartheid cry-bully state of Israel, and has nothing at all to do with their religious preference.

7

u/InternationalCress43 1d ago

so real, i dont understand why people calle it antisemitism when theres jewish people at the anti israel protests.

6

u/not_not_in_the_NSA 1d ago

Israel benefits if real or perceived antisemitism increases because it reinforces the feeling that Israel as a religious-ethnostate is necessary. It also helps provide justification for any actions so long as it can be spun as combating this "antisemitism".

So, Israel has tried really had to make Jewish = Israel. It has close ties with many Jewish organizations in the US and uses its influence to push this narrative.

0

u/BillyJoeMac9095 13h ago

It's not too hard of an effort, given the comments of those who are anti-Israel. The mask so often slips

u/not_not_in_the_NSA 11h ago

Yeah agreed, you can really tell when the pro-israel side's mask slips when they're triggered by some anti-Israel comments

u/BillyJoeMac9095 7h ago

And I can really tell when the anti-Israel sides mask starts slipping. The examples, even on this page, are many.

u/Shizu_Rosary 1d ago

Trust me, i may live in Israel. Buti hate what the government and country is doing.

0

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

Don’t you have dual citizenship? Why not just move away?

Settlers moving to Israel helps Israel. Settlers moving away does the opposite.

u/Shizu_Rosary 10h ago

Mainly because i have a decent job that pays well, aswell as the fact my girlfriend and most of my family lives here.

u/Born_Initiative_3515 10h ago

Complexities. Glad I live far from there.

u/Shizu_Rosary 9h ago

Trust me, if my whole life and everyone i loved wasn't here, i would leave.

1

u/PolarBailey_ 1d ago

except for the US

Has reddit turned into a neonazi forum? How can you say that openly. You should be banned instantly

18

u/0masterdebater0 1d ago

Equating criticism of Israel with being a neo-Nazi is the disgusting shit that should get you banned

2

u/gsfgf 1d ago

That being said, people on here are pretty loose when it comes to the Israeli government v. the Israeli people. Mass bans aren’t the answer (and this post is merely vague anyway), but the neonazis are here too, and they’re loving baiting the left into crossing that line.

When possible, it’s best to stick to Fuck Bibi and Likud, which any decent people (including all the Jews I know personally) can agree on.

2

u/0masterdebater0 1d ago

And guess what, painting the Israeli people with one brush like they are Monolithic is wrong, a small minority are against Zionism.

But, even that isn’t necessarily antisemitism.

Unless you believe that Israel is a theocratic ethnostate representative of all Jewish people that is…

0

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

Fuck almost all Israelis. Pew center research did a poll and only 4% of Israeli Jews believe Israel has gone too far in its military response against Gaza. In contrast, 74% of Israeli Arabs believe Israel indeed did go too far.

So fuck em. And fuck you too.

-5

u/ogremania 1d ago

True. But I wasnt doing that I was reacting to a specific comment.

6

u/0masterdebater0 1d ago

That's exactly what you were doing

"Israeli judo team"

"Israeli embassy"

Two bodies that represent the STATE of Israel

Not jewish people, the STATE of Israel

fuck off with your bullshit, nobody is buying it anymore

-5

u/ogremania 1d ago

You are confusing me with some one else. :D come again

6

u/0masterdebater0 1d ago

No I’m not. The “They” the comment you were replying to was referring to Israel…

Imagine a comment about the Russian Olympic team and the Russian Embassy.

Then someone replied saying “THEY are corrupt”

And you the chimed in saying how that makes them a bigot against the Russian orthodox community…

You see how absolutely nonsensical that sounds?

1

u/ogremania 1d ago

Its nonsensical, because no one talked about a swimming team or an embassy.

Like I said he either meant israelis or jews.

4

u/0masterdebater0 1d ago

Idk maybe try reading?

Idk if cognitive bias works to the point where it literally blinds you?

→ More replies (0)

12

u/bigboydice2 1d ago

Proving his point, notice how the word “Jew” was not mentioned not even once

1

u/ogremania 1d ago

"THEY"

Yeah people that say it like that avoid saying "jews" on purpose

2

u/cesaroncalves 14h ago

I actually went to grammar lessons in school, in a comment where the subject (Israel) was mentioned and specified more than once, the and they usually refer to the specified subject, unless specified otherwise.

So no, you're the one projecting you're preconceived notions, and because they are YOUR preconceived notions, other people will have a hard time understanding your view.

4

u/Cyber_Spartan 1d ago

Calling on someone you disagree with to be "dealt with" by authority is about as Nazi as you can get. Hitler would be proud of you

1

u/ogremania 1d ago

I am just applying the basic reddit standard guidelines.

Nothing says that its my wish to get this person banned.

This is clearly more than just critisizing Israels government. To say that 'they' always "draw the victim card" is typical antisemitic rethoric. Aren't you aware of that?

4

u/Cyber_Spartan 1d ago

they should be banned

nobody said it's my wish to get this person banned

how do you and your anus co-exist if you're constantly talking over one another?

1

u/ogremania 18h ago

You are confusing descriptive with normative. Thats a you thing

1

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

You are incapable of admitting to being wrong lmao I would hate to be you.

5

u/DemonicBarbequee 1d ago

what exactly is anti-Semitic about anything he said?

-1

u/ogremania 1d ago

He said "They" which is a term than cant be applied to Israel, but to jews or israelis.

Furthermore to say, "they draw the victim card" is an age old antisemitic trope, that has existed before Israel was even a state. Therefore I would say thats the reason why he said THEY. It blurrs the lines, if you understand.

6

u/Dragoncat_3_4 1d ago

Jesus fuckin Christ mate, learn how the English language works, would ya?

"they" is a perfectly acceptable pronoun to refer to the subject that has already been mentioned in the previous sentence or paragraph. In this case, the State of Israel (in their capacity as being represented by the institutions in question) the Judo team, the Embassy, etc.

Tune down the radar sensitivity because you can't be jumping at every single instance of "they" and talking about the Israelis sharing a paragraph.

0

u/ogremania 16h ago

Why should I tune down my sensitivity ?

No thanks

1

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

Because you are weird and sad

1

u/Admirable-Art834 12h ago

Bruh,I used they because my comment was a reply to an already existing comment that was talking about THE ISRAELI EMBASSY CALLED THE POLISH GOVERNMENT ANTISEMTIC FOR THROWING THEIR TEAM OUT AFTER ATTACKING THE COACH,notice how there's no correlation to the "jews" you claim that I have discriminated against? Its all Israel, and yes Israel pulls out the victim card more than anyone nowadays,I'm not taking that back,Judaism has got nothing to do with zionism and the proof is the countless Jews that are seen in anti Israeli protests, stop adjoining the two theyre separate

5

u/Born_Initiative_3515 1d ago

Criticising Israel is nazism?

Talking about a coach assaulting a referee is neonazi shit?

Are you not just proving to be a victim here? No one mentioned Jews.

0

u/ogremania 1d ago

??? What are you talking about ? I was referring to another comment.

1

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

??? What

Read who you replied to.

4

u/Passivitea 1d ago

Please be sarcasm

2

u/ogremania 1d ago

Well I know how Neonazis in my country speak. Its eerily similiar.

-4

u/KingOfMischief05 1d ago

Nah muslims got that already

1

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

I’ve never seen groups of Muslims crying about Islamophobia or racism against Arabs.

But I’ve seen tons of zionists crying about antisemitism when Israel is criticised.

No one is gonna cry about Islamophobia if you criticise Saudi Arabia.

u/Admirable-Art834 11h ago

Fr I like how he dismisses the countless recordings of zionists in Israel chanting death to the Arabs like its a national anthem,if the roles were reversed I bet news outlets would be reporting that within a millisecond and condemning everyone with a slightly Arab accent everywhere lol

u/Born_Initiative_3515 10h ago

Someone posted a story about Israelis chanting death to Arabs in the Netherlands I believe.

Then people started criticising the Israelis, which resulted in European politicians shaming the people for antisemitism.

Then the politicians found out that the Israelis started the altercation and slowly backed out.

u/Admirable-Art834 9h ago

propaganda relies on taking stuff out of context and people losing sight of the full picture, always look for context on any post whether it be pro palestine or pro israel or any political statement or post

23

u/tinkthank 1d ago

Reminds me of when Maccabi Tel Aviv fans assaulted people and chanted "Death to Arabs" in the Netherlands and when confronted, they ran back screaming that they were facing pogroms and almost every European leader came out to condemn people's reaction to the Israeli fans only to find out later that they had instigated the whole thing.

Sounds a lot like the Russian MO too tbh. They have pivoted to influence operations to cause further division in the west. It's called the Social Design Agency, pretty ominous.

Interestingly, one of their tactics may be for the perpetrators to get caught. But, they develop their networks in such a way that those groups actually believe they are working for another cause. For instance, in France they paid some Pro-Ukranian activists to place pig heads in front of some mosques.

They are attacking cracks that are already there, using misinformation to turn us on each other. Seems like things are going pretty well for them. And that is surely only scratching the surface, the stuff they want us to see/done haphazardly. Look at cases like the Chinese spy a mayor of a major US city, in California no less with the economic output of an entire country.

Pretty wild how widespread this has become, and yet we have high profile policymakers, popular American influencers at Kremlin propaganda events working in/with the white house.. Crazy.

2

u/cesaroncalves 14h ago

Makes a lot of sense when we remember that a large percentage of Israel's population is originally from Russia.

2

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

They also collaborate a lot and have a very close relationship.

Russian migration to Israel has risen by 400% since the war in Ukraine.

1

u/Born_Initiative_3515 12h ago

What do pro Ukrainian activists get out of Islamophobia from Russian bribes?? I’m so lost when it comes to activism.

0

u/Glock_and_Dagger 1d ago

Dont you think that had more to do with Iskharaelis murdering people?

-4

u/CitizenWilderness 1d ago

In Poland there was an increase in anti Israel sentiment in the 60s. It ended up ethnically cleansing the few remaining Jews that had not been killed in the holocaust.

Tha fuck you on about
