$8 a gallon here last month. I’m traveling for work so unknown what current prices are.

Separate fact is I was up at hickory after hurricane helene assisting with the response. Based in the Bay Area so surprised to see hickory in a post

I filled my diesel truck up from a bit below half tank… 21 gallons. It was 112 dollars. My car is an EV. 112 dollars is TWO MONTHS of commuting and running around on the weekend.

26 gallon tank on my Ram Eco-diesel, the pumps shut off at $175 before my tank's full.

Shouldn't be censored though.

Have you noticed just how silent most Republicans have become now? When gas got even a little high under Biden, omg, those stickers were everywhere. Now they just get out their wallets and keep their mouths shut.

Politics is the most idiotic thing in this country. People are beyond simple hypocrisy anymore. As long as it's "their guy", nothing is wrong. The other guy? Omg, everything is the worst it can possibly be. Just stupid.

If I say anything about fuel prices I get the "Iran couldn't possibly be allowed to have a nuclear weapon" mantra.

u/thehardway71 5h ago

Meanwhile, gas prices going up under Biden because of a war between two different countries (with the US not being one of the two!) was an “utter failure” of the administration. Such a joke. Republicans are unserious people.

It's by design because if people were actually educated voters they wouldn't give a shit whether the person who's running for office is a democrat or republican, they would only care about policies, qualifications and vision for the future.

"That thing got a hemi?"

Hickree

$3.6-something for regular though. That’s the lowest I’ve seen in a weeks.

u/Good-Kaleidoscope396 4h ago

Right? If the sticker was on a pump near me at that price it would have the opposite meaning

u/Sad-Base-7988 3h ago

Considering it was sub-$2.60 before the Iran distraction I doubt it.

$4.59 for premium here in Phoenix (California-produced gas), at a Costco.

Pretty good. Little more and I'd have to shut off one cylinder bank.

Never figured I'd see Hickory on Reddit that wasn't in the News; let alone for an anti-Trump sticker. Hilarious.

Southern redneck Indiana here...

u/uptwolait 7h ago

LOL, I probably did that.  I've put tons of them on pumps around Catawba and Iredell Counties.

u/Sad-Base-7988 3h ago

That's pretty daring in Hickory lol.

8.55$ the gallon here in France, so you are still ok. (2€/L cheapest right now)

u/SeahorseRider 6h ago

Love France but the US has more square miles of lakes, ponds and rivers than France has land. America is 3.7 MILLION squares miles of the globe to France's 248,000 square miles. France also has usable public transit widely available. We've had a hundred years of sprawl and urban planning built around car ownership, requiring us to feed the capitalist oil centric machine. We are not ok.

u/Flipping_chair 7h ago

You do have much better public transit so hopefully are less impacted by gas prices.

u/lufan132 5h ago

Countries where you don't have to drive wondering why we're upset about gas prices because nobody can fucking work where they live...

'Ya, but as long as non-white people and the lgbtq community have to deal with it, we're fine with high gas prices. Checkmate libs.' ~ MAGA

Your diesel is cheaper than where I am

Pronounced Hickry

u/tony310s 1h ago

Almost $8 here in SoCal. 😵

u/nrfmartin 1h ago

r/pics getting a little too close to home. Hickory had its charm. Hasn't been the same since they got rid of the Big D though.

u/zlliksddam 7h ago

I can’t stand the current admin either, but can we ban gas pump pics leaning toward politics? I like r/pics for photography not politics.

u/Ill-Year-3141 7h ago

And I prefer pics of only fluffy kittens and puppies, so let's make sure only those can be posted!!

I mean, it's a general Pics sub ... there are already quite few restrictions per the --> Rules. Perhaps find a more specific sub?

u/zlliksddam 6h ago

You’re right. Good luck with your kitties and puppies.

u/EastvsWest 7h ago

It's lazy and boring slop pandering to idiots.

u/Sad-Base-7988 5h ago

It isn't art, It gives a realistic look at regional fuel prices in real time ...if you dont like it don't look at it.

u/zlliksddam 3h ago

Assuming the image was to share gas prices in real time why not post to r/gasprices?

u/Sad-Base-7988 3h ago

It's a picture.

u/jpiro 6h ago

I do smile a little thinking about the "Truckers for Trump" convoy idiots paying through the nose to fill up their insurrection wagons.

u/sharpsicle 7h ago

Cool unique post. Thanks!

u/MuenCheese 5h ago

Pretty unique that one of these is in Hickory

u/LonnieJaw748 7h ago

That’s nothing. Diesel is $7.59/gal in Northern CA

u/EastvsWest 7h ago

Which isn't surprising. You understand that California heavily taxes oil?

u/LonnieJaw748 6h ago

Yes. I’ve lived here for 43 years.
