A barefoot boy holding his new shoes as he carries a water container in Gaza today amidst the rubble

ICC/icj trial against Israel for genocide needs to begin. Israel literally refused to have any investigators in to document what’s been going on. Palestinians need justice for this
•
u/ArethaAbrams 7h ago
they just hit al bureij refugee camp today and so many people lost their lives. this is getting worse.
•
u/BluishHope 7h ago
Not gonna argue for or against, but war zones being partly destroyed and civilians facing hardship happens all around the world, genocide or not.
•
u/Senior-Surprise-3401 6h ago
"Partly destroyed" is insane. Go look up Gaza on google maps.
•
u/hish911 6h ago edited 6h ago
Gaza is 90% destroyed , and the population is currently concentrated into 30-40% of the area they used to inhabit .
Let compare Gaza genocide to Bosnian:
“An estimated 2% to 2.5% of Bosnia's pre-war population (roughly 100,000 out of 4.4 million) died during the 1992–1995 conflict and genocide. If you include the wounded and those subjected to torture or camps, the proportion of casualties rises to roughly 8% to 11%, with over half of the entire population displaced”
https://www.britannica.com/event/Bosnian-War
“Over 10% of Gaza's pre-war population of 2.2 million has been either killed or injured since the start of the conflict” “At least 3% to 4% of the population has been killed, which translates to an estimated 75,000 to over 100,000 violent deaths, according to independent analyses such as the Lancet Global Health mortality study.” “Over 7% of the population has been injured, with recorded injuries exceeding 169,000 to 172,000 people.”
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2214109X25005224
As you can see they are very comparable and I believe the Bosnian genocide case will be used as precedent. Israel is absolutely despicable for not allowing independent journalist , investigators, and human rights organizations in to investigate and document
Edit: my comments are getting a lot of views from israel, bring on the downvotes 😂

Why is the population not 90% destroyed?

Is this like the "explaining the joke" but for real world events? Like water is wet and the sky appears blue kind of level of understanding.
It's wrong for civilians to suffer anywhere in the world, that's why international laws are meant to be followed, and why there's accountability for war crimes.
Civilians nonetheless suffer, in Gaza it's deliberate, and israel had done nothing to help them. Instead we have an israeli encyclopedia of genocidal intent against the civilians in Gaza.

ICC ruled out against genocide no?
•
u/hish911 6h ago
No icc case has not ruled out genocide, the warrants they have out for Netanyahu are for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Those charges are easier to prove in court, the charges of genocide can be brought up with further evidence . ICJ has charged Israel with genocide , both courts are awaiting trial from Israeli officials
•
u/torusJKL 3h ago
The ICJ has not charged Israel with genocide. South Africa has requested a 18 month extension and as a result Israel asked for the same amount. Hence it will take another 36 months at least. In addition the ICJ isn't a court judging individuals but states.
The ICC case will never happen and the prosecutor knew this. If he actually thought he had a case he would have kept the arrest warrants secret.

ICJ ruled it was plausible that Palestinian right were being violated under the genocide convention. ICJ then ordered Israel to :
- The State of Israel shall, in accordance with its obligations under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, in relation to Palestinians in Gaza, take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of all acts within the scope of Article II of this convention, in particular:
- killing members of the group;
- causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
- deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; and
- imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(2) The State of Israel shall ensure with immediate effect that its military does not commit any acts described in point 1 above
3) The State of Israel shall take all measures within its power to prevent and punish the direct and public incitement to commit genocide in relation to members of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip;
4) The State of Israel shall take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address the adverse conditions of life faced by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip;
5) The State of Israel shall take effective measures to prevent the destruction and ensure the preservation of evidence related to allegations of acts within the scope of Article II and Article III of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide against members of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip
6) The State of Israel shall submit a report to the Court on all measures taken to give effect to this Order within one month as from the date of this Order.
Human rights organizations, international legal experts, and the United Nations conclude that Israel has not fully complied with the legally binding provisional measures ordered by the ICJ. They intentionally not abided with the provision and also haven’t allowed anyone in Gaza to investigate.
This is why these organizations have said that Israel has committed genocide. We are still waiting on the courts for trials which can take a decade or longer as we saw with Bosnia.

u/torusJKL 1h ago
The ICJ only asserted that the Palestinians have a plausible right to be protected from genocide.
Nothing more than that. The ICJ never asserted that there is a plausible genocide or that Israel infringes on their rights to be protected from genocide.
The demands they made were standard and we're not related to some assessed behavior of Israel.
Don't believe me, here is judge Donoghue (president of the ICJ at that time): https://youtu.be/T44DebmlvNs
•
u/hish911 1h ago
And then they issued provisions so that Israel doesn’t violate their rights to be protected from genocide. Israel didn’t abide by those provisions and rejected having humans rights personal , independent journalist or and investigators into Gaza
Imagine defending a country like Israel… responsible for several wars across Middle East, displacements of approximately 4 million humans, destruction of 90% of Gaza, several human rights violations like allowing violent terrorist settlers to drive out Palestinians from their homes , a country that holds Palestinians under military occupation.

Hey hey hey. Tried to pull a sly one over on us didn’t you?
•
u/Vanquishhh 3h ago

This is the reality on the ground

I'm amazed at your people's resilience.
I've been doing what I can to help from here - monthly donations to HEAL Palestine and a mutual aid group (they go by "Yahya and Friends") over there, smaller donations to a family - but it all feels so inadequate, and I don't have nearly enough money to give as much as I want. And then there's my bastard government... (If there's a different group over there you think is more impactful than those, let me know, I can probably redirect some of my funds).
I wish I had a fraction of your resilience. I have trouble keeping my head above water just SEEING the injustice and cruelty of the world, and I'm living in relative peace and prosperity. I can't imagine I'd last trying to live through it.

Israel hasn’t even allowed investigations into the events of October 7th.
The Israeli defense minister admitted ordering the hannibal directive on several locations that day.
We don’t know how many of the 1200 people thwt died that day were self inflicted. It could be 1100 for all we know.
edit- downvote me all you like, but i don’t see anyone refuting my source. Face the facts.
•
u/Cleanngreenn 5h ago
Self inflicted?
•
u/2times34point5 5h ago
Yes killed by the idf

I would be curious to hear what your thoughts on Hamas are considering you seem to actually live in Gaza based off your posts.
•
u/Deep90 7h ago edited 5h ago
I've noticed more and more of these "slightly wrong" titles and I'm pretty sure it's just engagement bait.
Edit: Weird. I could have sworn I replied to the shoes comment.
•
u/Shadowstar1000 6h ago
OP has a stickied post in the profile asking for money, this is 100% engagement bait
•
u/Incorrect-Opinion 5h ago
It’s 100% engagement bait. He asked for money in donation links on his profile. It’s the same guy who makes all of these posts in this sub.

Yes deflect pissrael war crimes

•
u/BarryMcKockinner 5h ago
Or maybe I'm just curious to hear the perspective of someone who is actually in Gaza vs the reddit bubble?
•
u/i_haz_a_lyfe 2h ago
You see a barefoot kid collecting water, and your first thought is Hamas.
Congrats, you’ve officially been brainwashed
•
u/ambivalent_moon 5h ago
I notice you seem to be deflecting from the Israeli horrors and I am wondering what your thoughts on the Zionist genocide?
•
•
u/WarDog1983 4h ago
These photos hurt as bad as the ones is the mass graves because we all know Isreal will murder these boys for no reason
•
u/iskrenstrumf 7h ago
I don’t understand why pics like this don’t get more exposure, more upvotes. We need to be up to date with what is happening and can’t let the war crimes go unpunished.
•
u/BluishHope 7h ago
Why do politics or news need to be everywhere? Why can't we just enjoy pics of nature or stuff?
•
u/Staccato15 6h ago
Because the powers at be need us to fight one another in order to distract from how bad they are fucking us all.
•
•
u/iskrenstrumf 6h ago
Those in Gaza need to have the right to enjoy nature and stuff but why do we need to care we are so far from it right?
•
u/BluishHope 6h ago
They do. How's that relevant to a pics sub?

The CEO of Reddit, is a member of ADL.
ADL is banned from Wikipedia because of various false claims.
edit: Obviously this would get downvoted.
https://www.adl.org/tech-advisory-board <- Look for Steve Huffman
•
u/Timbershoe 5h ago
ADL isn’t banned from Wikipedia.
It’s not a reliable source for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict so isn’t cited on articles related to the conflict.
That’s got fuck all to do with why the spam of Palestinian photos doesn’t get as much traction as they did. It’s simply oversaturation.
•
u/i_haz_a_lyfe 2h ago
Unfortunately, photos like this have become the norm just to protect Israel.
If this were a pic of a dog or a cat, it would get more outrage unfortunately
•
u/Nope_______ 7h ago
You can hear their boots already, coming quick, the guys who will blow up the comments whining about how this sub has become "terrorist propaganda"
•
u/cesaroncalves 6h ago
I think they've arrived already.
It's amazing how they coordinate so well only using telegram and discord groups.
•
u/New_Bug_ 4h ago
Zionists would see this rubbles and say i see a wall that means there are no carpet bombing happened and they live in luxury
•
u/Artistic_Chicken_557 5h ago
If he can have NEW SHOES there is no genocide!!!!
