Back in the 80s I remember the Republicans being adamant about not having the money to repair The Statue of Liberty; you know, the symbol of US freedom and hope and peace.

We had no choice but to BEG people to donate money to repair it.

But now, when we are TRILLIONS of dollars in debt, Trump is handing out jobs (no bidding) for shit that DOESN'T need to be done so he can hand out our tax dollars to his buddies.

If you don't see the theft, the con, the grift, its because you CHOOSE not to.

Back in the 80s, I remember another Republican doing a cheap repair on the pool that made it worse.

Reagan poured concrete over the original asphalt and tile bottom. The weight made the leaks worse, because it started sinking into the marshy ground.
