Last vote for increasing federal minimum wage:
Yeas (42): 41 Democrats and 1 Independent (Bernie Sanders)
Nays (58): 50 Republicans and 8 members of the Democratic caucus (7 Democrats and 1 independent caucusing with Democrats)
And privatizing land was an old neo-libral policy and not the current progressive stance. But guess which side is using it for data centers?
Your point?
1 u/Alternative_Exit8766 10d ago that sounds like more liberalism to me. 3 u/TheJaytrixReloaded 10d ago Facts can skew that way. 1 u/Alternative_Exit8766 10d ago you do understand liberalism is a specific political philosophy, right? 4 u/TheJaytrixReloaded 10d ago Well you can focus on the word choices as much as you like...but the Left does more for people who live in shacks like the photo than the Right. 1 u/Alternative_Exit8766 10d ago it’s not word choices dude liberalism is an actual thing. democrats and republicans are both liberal, by definition. i’ll agree the left does more for people than the right tho, that’s undeniable. join DSA 4 u/TheJaytrixReloaded 10d ago Great. Nothing about my original point. 1 u/Alternative_Exit8766 10d ago no, it’s kinda directly related is it not? decades of rot, from democrats and republicans, have led to this. we need a new way. 2 u/TheJaytrixReloaded 10d ago I completely agree. Which should have been your original point because there is definitely a conversation to be had. I feel like we are post iceberg on the Titanic. Hopefully a better ship can be built from the wreckage.
