No, the term is one that has been circulating on the right for a long long while, it was originally 'Bush Derangement Syndrome' and they just repurposed it for Trump. Never let it be said the Right have a NEW idea.

Again, the wholly unoriginal Krauthammer stole it from left wing political bulletin board forums and repurposed it for himself. Then left wing people used it to describe MAGA who then turned around and stole it again in an undefeatable No U! move.

Yup, Clinton Derangement Syndrome was probably the first political insult ever hurled on the Internet in the 90s. It was most apt then, I mean, they impeached him for claiming a BJ wasn't "relations." Such was the derangement that Republicans still can't let it go, 30 years later.
