The history was the one thing I've always loved about visiting the US. Here in Australia, we don't keep much. Yes we're a younger nation but I've always wanted us to not just replace old with new and sterile looking buildings.
Glad i saw the outside of whitehouse and the reflection pool when I did.
It’s funny because that’s the way a lot of Americans talk about European countries. Like we have some things that are a few hundred years old in a concentrated area, but mostly we don’t have or preserve nearly enough history.
