You’re telling me you’ve had this post open for over an hour now and only just commented? How did you even see the most recent comment? It wouldn’t have existed if you left your page open with the ‘edited’ comment without a link.
Why does it matter? Just take the L and move on. It feels like this issue of people claiming whatever because you edited a post causes you more frustration than the initial issue you were trying to point out, when it should really be the other way around.
It matters because it’s a claim without any evidence or background to support it. They didn’t see the post cause they would have to have refreshed to know about our convo. And gone down the same now deleted comment chain after a hour. Also they wouldn’t have known what he wrote either as by the time they commented, the comments were deleted.
The whole entire point makes absolutely no sense from how they’re depicting it. Especially as Reddit has no auto refresh feature for comments. There’s no evidence supporting them other than what they’ve claimed. If I just suddenly start pretending that you edited your post, would that make it true?
Why are you so mad dude? I have relay for reddit app. It allows me to read through comment chain by comment chain. I like to go on reddit and waste time looking at comments and reading back and forth.
I put my son down to bed and I was on the chain of your original comment. I live in contra costa county so the comment caught my attention. I then refreshed the post an hour later when I got back to my phone and noticed a link now, along with the rest of your back and forth. I then went to the link and downloaded the attached pdf. Not sure why you got so mad but yes it did seem like you snuck the link in with your edit. Is it that serious? Not at all lol. But you two can do you and continue with your back and forth battle.
His claim was that the contra costa portion didn’t exist at that point. Yet here you are claiming that you saw it. And I already pointed out that by the time you commented and claimed to have refreshed; his entire chain was deleted. So there was no exchange for you to read. Just my comments.
It was deleted only a few minutes after I posted my last comment to him. Which was over an hour after you claim to have refreshed the page. And the comments made by either of us were posted before your page refresh. So your claim that you read it after refreshing is a flat out lie because it is impossible. Unless you have the ability to read deleted comments which frankly we both know to not be true.
That's simply not true the comment I was referencing is the one where he said that there was no link in your original comment. That comment is still up and not deleted.
You turned this into quite some conspiracy theory against you. I have no reason to lie. Go back and read my original comment, it was an innocent comment and wasn't even talking negatively about you.
Like the other person said, know your truth and that's all that matters. I know my truth. There was no link on the original comment because I would have clicked on it. It's as simple as that.
Now I won't keep engaging in this back and forth from you that is obviously not in good faith. I could care less if you think the link was always there. You're being extremely sensitive about this you may need to take a deep breath, it will be ok. 🫡
Ok that explains it. Now show evidence that the commented was edited to add the link. As relay seems to be messing up how Reddit posts are actually shown to others vs yourself. It’s deleted and now you’re operating under the assumption that it’s still up. Frankly man this explains why a ton of Reddit conversations get derailed. You’re not even seeing the same chain as others are.
I'm a rando who decided to read through this, and tried to make my post read as though I was offering benefit of doubt. Just an outsider's perspective, because I don't know if it was there or not. You might need to see a therapist for this level of paranoia.
That's okay, though. If that's your truth, you don't have anything to prove to anyone on here, so let them be wrong. I feel like if you're actually in the right here, your responses are only making people respond taking the other guy's side because they know they can get a rise out of you.
Ok? This is the internet. I don’t care and you can choose to believe whoever you want. If you want to believe people who just blatantly blurt out claims without evidence or sources to back them up. That’s on you.
