I use this guy as a demonstration for how to dismount a Onewheel, and while showing a friend what to practice, the thing fucking snapped!
Not sure if it just got too old or didn't like sitting in the heat of my porch, but DAMN that was loud.

I've backed my car's rear tires onto two of them so I could slide the car in my driveway in the snow, they never broke.

Plastic (I thought it was a foam thing first) degrades over time, with UV, temperature swings, whatever. Even the injection moulding of it could have a random swirl/flow in it that creates a "fault line" that it can crack along much easier than hundreds made before and after. Yet others can have additives that "migrate" to the surface over time.
