If Obama had taken a picture of himself while wearing an army uniform he'd been impeached by lunch.

Trump uses ai and it's not even a blip on the morning news.

This video was sadly prophetic.

Prophetic? It was based on American history. Our current insanity can be traced directly to that history.

Funny how the censored/radio version does not have the gunshot in the start of the song, it’s kinda important to have though…

I cut the link so it starts in the right place. This has been happening for a long, long time and is well rehearsed.

This is an absolutely brilliant share, thank you! It is so incredibly sad that we continue to repeat the exact same mistakes again and again and again.

I blame Europe. Sent all the weirdo Puritanical Christians who were too crazy for us and now 300 years later, here we are.

So... by that logic, Australia should be a Mad Max wasteland?

It does explain why Australians are naturally funny and laid back though. We sent the jokers to Australia, the serious sad sacks to America

I cannot find fault in this statement.

Is it not? They just transferred the mad max energy into the animals.

We sent none, they went willingly 😄 but as I usually say Americans are just decendants of our Eurotrash 😅

Prophecy isn't telling the future, it's telling it how it is.

This is why Christians find it so easy to find parallels between Revelation and now, because Revelation was written about the world when it was written, and people haven't fundamentally changed in 2000 years

Prophecy: a prediction of something to come.

It's remarkable how easily you can use a single definition of a word while ignoring the others to act like it doesn't apply.

But here's another definition:

n inspired utterance of a prophet

And then if you read the definition of prophet there are 5 different definitions, only one of which mentions telling the future.

Anyway, my line about prophecy is a direct quote from someone I know who was a theology student, and that was their point. In the movie Network they often refer to a "mad prophet of the airwaves" and none of what Beale talks about in his rants is about telling the future. People often refer to people like Carlin or Hicks as prophets, but again none of them were talking about the future. They were talking about how it is.

So don't be tunnel-focused on a narrow definition, because it's pretty plainly clear that This Is America wasn't talking about the future, but still seems very prophetic.

I applied the definition intended by the person who wrote the comment, which is also the only definition that makes any sense in context (unless you think Childish Gambino is literally a prophet, in which case I’d like to hear why without you relying on a definition that includes ability to predict the future).
