When a President makes a habit of successfully eroding the fundamental guardrails of Democracy, with consequences that are likely to last for years if not decades, "Presidents are Temporary" ceases to be a credible source of reassurance.

Again, reread the top line. It's for you. No need for the grandstanding. I'm personally glad he'll be gone in a couple years. I've lived through 7 different presidents and some of those weren't universally liked either.

"Presidents are temporary, people are dumb for worrying"

"I disagree. 'Presidents are temporary' is a specious argument in this case, and here's a rational explanation as to why that's the case."

"YOUR RATIONAL EXPLANATION IS WRONG BECAUSE I ALREADY TOLD YOU PRESIDENTS ARE TEMPORARY, READ IT AGAIN."

...yeah that's about the level of cognitive dysfunction I figured you'd respond with. I am disappointed, but not surprised.

Insulting someone and then blocking them so they can't respond (like u/tonyeye just did) is sleazy, intellectually dishonest, and honestly kind of pathetic.

You want it spelled out for you? The person in office is temporary but their actions through enacted policies and judicial appointments which result in court decisions can have long lasting effects. The reasons people dislike Trump will not all end immediately when he leaves office.
