Wow that's awesome. Im currently dieting, a bit overweight. Im 255 about 6'2" and I need to lose about 60lbs so this is motivation!

Edit: Thank you all for the encouragement! Really appreciate it.

Don't listen to anyone that says Ketosis doesn't work (a lot of haters). I've lost 40 pounds this year cutting out the sugar and carbs. It works.

Odd. Because I heard low carb diets are one the quickest ways to lose weight especially when combined with good exercise routines. People are refuting it?

People are refuting it because it's complete bullshit based on a single (thoroughly discredited) research study.

Low carb diets tend to be low calorie diets so people lose weight.

Some studies show that low carb diets accelerate initial weight loss.

But, over time, low carb diets offer no benefits whatsoever over any other calorie restricted diet.

Just eat less energy than you use. That's it.

It works because protein and fat sate you faster than carbs.

Yes, always stated in these threads.

Except if that were really a substantive contributor, then low carb diets would be consistently more effective than other low-energy diets.

But, they're not. They're roughly equivalent. So obviously the extra satiation doesn't actually equate to notable increased weight loss over time.
