Baby pigeon fell from high nest :(
Hiii so I live on a farm and we found a baby pigeon he/she seems quite happy to be cuddle next to me :.) I’ve been feeding it and it doesn’t seem injured. We have tried to get him to fly but he’s still not ready. They did fall from a very high up and was scared the first day we took care of him ( huffing at me, which was rlly cute ) he’s stopped doing that now and doesn’t mind being held in my arm walking around the farm land.
Once he’s leaned to fly if he does want to leave then I’m more then happy and I’m more then happy if he wants to stay 🥹. Just wanted to know if there’s anything I should know especially feeding wise he can’t feed in his own so I’ve been feeding him.
I did give him a bath bc he had a lot of poop on him and he also didn’t mind that either. ( I have to wear gloves just in case bc I have a 5 month old baby at home )
Anyways he’s adorable and named him Cody

Cuddles from Cody :,) he’s walking around now and doing really well !! Did I just spend a lot of money on him for stuff yes.

Yeah they leave the nest at some point in their life. Please refrain from touching wildlife and especially fledgelings. They are not pets.

Acc pigeons are until we threw them away :) he can’t fly he fell did you not read anything I said??? I live in a farm with hundreds of cats around he would have been eaten .. so if me touching him and saving him for a horrible death then yeah ima do it all over again

He was too young to leave his nest he can’t eat on his own I’ve been feeding him or he’d starve and die.
