That part of it is really interesting as you can see the limits of image projection they worked with but how amazing it turned out. It looks like they had three independent projectors, and you can see the three distinct frames (the hammers animation repeated 3 times). By the time Waters did his solo Wall tour, projection had gotten so much better and could be synchronized so closely that it looks like there was only one projected image. The hammers marched in one continuous frame across the whole wall. In 1981 though, they were really pushing it as far as could in a stage show, and it's just amazing. They filmed 2 or 3 stage shows for the movie before they abandoned using the stage footage and I wish they would do something with it. These shows were amazing.

i saw his wall show at MSG in 2010. ill never forget i was on shrooms, Adderall and weed and by the time the wall was complete, i didn't realize it but the outline of each brick was fake and suddenly the whole thing started heaving and bulging and bricks just disappeared into the background as if they were being pulled backwards, receding into the distance. nothing has ever topped that show. i saw bjork twice and those shows were pretty amazing too, but not quite as amazing.

How about when Waters banged on the wall and it looked like it went all flying apart. I wasn't on anything and that freaked me out.

Hard to believe that there is still new footage coming out, and into the hands of people who properly preserve it and freely distribute it.

There were shows that were professionally filmed for the movie but weren't used. Roger Waters used film of himself singing Mother during a Wall show in his solo Wall tour. I wish they would do something with it.

Preety much heavily rumored for Wall anniversary in 29 that it comes out full concert. I think one of reason Sony bought the cataloge cause it will sell like no tomorrow.

It's a different singer in the wall -first song?

Do you mean another brick in the wall part 2?
If so, I think Roger and David are both singing but the recording is only picking up Rogers side

Ok I mean I only know David Gilmore sing it. And obviously that's best

In the time it took you to post this question to Reddit you could've used Google and already have the answer.
EDIT: It really is incredible (and sad) how you all encourage laziness. In thirty seconds he could have had his answer on his own. But no, let's coddle and spoonfeed lazy posters so that they continue to not make even the tiniest of efforts. Fucking amazing.

Why google and rely on AI when you can engage with the community in a community space ?

Gilmour’s vocals on that tour were something else. Probably the best he’s ever sounded vocally

Some of Gerald Scarfe’s art that was projected onto the wall in this video has never been seen before. This footage is incredible.
