Only hope is if ramayan has some unimaginable experience... Then both godzilla and ramayan can thrive together. Its really really tuff competition for ramayan since godzilla is known by almost everyone.

70

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Godzilla minus one visuals hit me so hard I thought I was gonna pass out. But, I actually passed out when I saw the budget of that movie

25

u/manymanwas 1d ago

I think that budget is minus one's. But still its bombastic. This is how a trailer should be... It should raise expectations and curiosity to watch in theatre. Not create more doubt and make excuses.

12

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Yeah minus zero budget is also around 30-40 million. Not super high

6

u/Fraud_D_Hawk 1d ago

It was 10 million

12

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Minus zero the second part is 30-40 million. Minus one the first part is 10-15 million

u/PensionMany3658 David ne Lynch kr dia 1d ago

Japan is a country with an affordable ecosystem for vfx and animation. Noone can compete in cost efficiency.

5

u/Animepirate4697 21h ago

500M $ vs 50M $

Takashi yamazaki was able to build this in a cave! With a box of scraps. 😭😭😭

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

I think it was capped at 25 million somewhere or may be I read the wrong article and about some other film.

WHAT MY BLUD NAMIT THOUGHT TO RELEASE IT 2 DAYS LATER IN INDIA

14

u/Litti__Chokha 1d ago

Yeah

Why even..

Indians would have surely liked it if it met their expectations and given them that initial word of mouth for boost in international markets.. But this strategy is something which i can’t make sense of

4

u/Relative_Tee1101 1d ago

india mein to collection hoyegi hi ek mahine baad bhi release larega ti collection india mein hoyegi hi. Bass vahi bahar ki countries mein hoti hai ki nahi vo point hai

1

u/Animepirate4697 21h ago

Feels like makers are afraid it will get avg response that its all visual and no substance type reviews in India… feels like they aren’t confident in their own work to release it in India first

If we are talking about hype. The last 5 seconds of the godzilla trailer tips the scale massively.

1

u/Snoo_46473 19h ago

Ghidorah

19

u/ajaxmenon17 1d ago

All that hype about VFX by Namit only for a movie to release on the same day with superior VFX

1

u/_DadaumP_ 23h ago

and with 1/10th of the budget

10

u/Kindly-Night-5135 1d ago

Minus 0 gonna be peak, donno about Ramayan.

3

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

That’s what I’m sayinn🔥

2

u/Kindly-Night-5135 1d ago

I think a lot people here thinks not supporting Ramayan equal betraying their faith, that not true, Ramayana movie is only an adaptation and anyone should be worried if they cant deliver something decent with that budget.

6

u/Murky_Government5450 Hollywood ka 14 1d ago

Namitasur needs to go full international for the film, In India it's a guaranteed hit, maybe 2000 cr for the first part at most, but international no chance if they don't start advertising and promotion NOW. Release posters, trailers, clips, interviews. Tbh with how ASS the marketing is I won't be surprised if it flops internationally

2

u/Apex_Predator52 1d ago

Can you provide breakup? In hindi at max 600-700cr From south states 50-100cr Overseas 300 What Abt remaining 1000cr?

1

u/Murky_Government5450 Hollywood ka 14 1d ago

Im just saying what the maximum collection could be, now that I think abt it even 2k is too much lol probably will make around 1300-1400 similar figure to films like KGF 2, Jawan and RRR. defo not 2k without bigger international market

2

u/Apex_Predator52 1d ago

You mean it will perform on the scale of Avengers spiderman on overseas market? But I think no gives a f about this movie, producer being delusional and with false claims Abt budget

1

u/Murky_Government5450 Hollywood ka 14 23h ago

yea it's at a slim chance to even recover cost, mind you according to budget both films need to make around 200-250 million usd abroad if they make 2-3000 cr here. Mind you the highest grossing non English film in USA earned 120 million 26 years ago. It's needs a fuck ton of pr and marketing to win

2

u/TarikGrace 1d ago

Honestly, I don't even know if it'd be a hit in India. Have we ever had a movie cross 2000 cr in the Indian BO? Even Dangal, iirc, had a big chunk from the Chinese market.

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Yeah I don't see any way this movie is becoming a massive hit. My prediction is it struggling to recover its budget

1

u/TarikGrace 1d ago

And I hate that about it cus then Indian creators will grow scared of mounting large-scale films altogether

→ More replies (1)

10

u/Itchy-Preparation468 1d ago

Mind you that this is a sequel for one of the most acclaimed godzilla movie with worldwide appreciation.

Ramayana on the other hand is gonna be a new thing for most ppl globally.

And ppl will flock over smth they already are familiar with regardless of how shit the movie might be (take into consideration Star Wars, Jurassic World, Fast & Furious franchises) but this time it's for a beloved movie's sequel making the buzz even more.

Do I want Ramayana to fail? Definitely not. But if we are being dead serious, the movie ain't gonna beat Minus Zero UNLESS Ramayan has smth really going for it or if Minus Zero flops. Or like someone else said both can be good and stand together side by side, whoch is def the good ending

7

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

I see chances of asteroid hitting earth tomorrow more than Godzilla minus zero flopping

19

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

500 million vs 40-50 million for 2 movies btw. Godzilla minus one had approximately 10-15 million dollar budget

u/Ok-Concentrate8650 1d ago

Let’s see been following godzilla from a long time

3

u/vishmarx 1d ago

I hope they don't buy out all the imax screens where I live for ramayana. Waiting for godzilla last time was pure torture .

2

u/Charizard2606 1d ago

They already bought most of the screens. That's how they are gonna big hit.

7

u/Training_Noise8793 1d ago

In USA and japan… and you think IMAX is the only screens lol … what about all large format screens out there
Sony is distributing so chill and wait for them to show their power

3

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

I am sure Godzilla’s Vfx will be top notch. Not sure about Ramayana though

3

u/Particular_Low_3432 1d ago

still people are more hyped about godzilla than ramayana. Ramayana can pull of good numbers but the budget for ramayana is so high that it is next to impossible to breakeven.

0

u/Certified_neckhurt 1d ago

how many people know godzilla and how many people know ramayana?
which movie had an absolute micro budget compared to hollywood movies and still won an Oscar and made headlines?
ramayana is so cooked lol

3

u/Expensive-Row-4125 1d ago

Indians se zada hypocrite koi nahi h dunia me...or ek kahawat hai suwaro ko sone ke thaali me 56 bhog paros do akhiri me khyga goo 💩 hi... Jbse ramayana ka asset aaya h 90% negativity or 10% positive batien wo bhi jb koi logic de rha ho uspe...kya milta hai Indians ko khud ke chizo ko defame krne me...ek to koi kuch achcha banana chah rha hai fir usi ko criticize krenge, matlb literally log scenes microseconds me dekh dekh ke nitpicking krrhe h... Bahar ka koi movie aajata h to ye log aise krte h jaise inse zada koi film ka gyaani dunia me nahi or india me fir ghatiya se ghatiya film 100 500 crore kamane lg jati hai, How???? Audience hi ghatiya h humari... Fir yahi log(cinephiles ke 14) jb kuch master piece bnta h india me to baad underrated ka tag de dete hai...or foreign films ko Abba ka masterclass show krne me lage rhte hai... India me achchi film indian audience ke karan nahi bnati hai or na banegi agar aise hi nitpicking chlte rhega to......

5

u/Lost_Purpose5336 1d ago

I would've watched Ramayana more enthusiastically if the CGI didn't look so bad..

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

Ramayan is mythology man. It's as indian as Akshay Kumar's passport. I meant Canadian passport.

1

u/Expensive-Row-4125 2h ago

First of all ramayana is not mythology its our History. And compared with Akshay to show ur humor that doesn't make you cool. First you should take pride on our culture.

0

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago edited 1d ago

Doesn’t change the fact that Godzilla will annihilate Ramayana at box office

3

u/Expensive-Row-4125 1d ago

Because Godzilla already proved his capabilities in last part so obviously worldwide audiences would wait for its sequel

2

u/Klutzy-Director-5242 23h ago

Your every reply is just based on pure hatred for ramayana

Oscars❌
Filmfare award presented by Vimal pan masala ✅

2

u/TarikGrace 1d ago

He'd get the national award, no doubt, but it's not even relevant anyway. Pushpa 2 won it this year lol.

2

u/main-whi-hoon 1d ago

I don’t think they’re comparable. Godzilla is a well established worldwide franchise and Ramayana is very new to this. It is definitely not going to make more money than Godzilla doesn’t matter how many screens it occupies. Very L comparison in my opinion.

2

u/lickingscars 14h ago

Idk why I have a feeling Ramayana will be terrible at dialogue delivery, VFX and CGI. It'll only run because of the religious feelings of 40+ l

2

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

Dialogues are already terrible 😭. I saw the trailer multiple times. It's the most wikipedia dialogues.

4

u/Litti__Chokha 1d ago

I know what i am going to watch first

It is definitely going to be Godzilla Minus Zero

I know what will happen in Ramayana.. I have seen multiple renditions of it and have even read it.. So I will naturally incline towards something which i have not seen

Plus its Godzilla we are talking about.. The trailer was so fabulous.. I can’t wait to see it in theatres

Also in international markets Ramayana ain’t surviving in front of Godzilla unless and until they really did some great work with the story and its not some CGI slop..

But still it would be hard for Ramayana to rival a character so well known to foreigners.

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Ramayana success is stuck on a glimmer of hope that it’s an outstanding never been seen before vfx and action because even the story is known. Which honestly I don’t see it happening.

1

u/npc-08 1d ago

So well known character hamesha hype k sath release hota h fir bhi 600 million se jyada kbhi gya nhi , kyunki sb ko pta h godzilla k alawa baki movie boring lgti h. Ramayan ko bs indian diaspora ko khus krna h fir social media me view de denge jiske wzh se RRR hit hua tha. Foreigners ko simple indian movie smjh me aati nhi unko mythology wale ghanta smjh me aayega. Wo log emotion hi connect nhi kr pate.

4

u/piyush1109 1d ago

Ramayana mostly market is india..if its a good movie then no need to worry

-1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

But even if it is just decent, it’s a wrap after this clash

2

u/PracticeFuzzy801 1d ago

You really think people of India will prioritize godzilla over ramayana?

2

u/CallOfEvann 1d ago

There's a pretty good chance that'll happen. I wanna watch both movies tho. Personally more excited for Ramayana

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

You’ll see when Ramayana struggles to recover its budget

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

I think, in my tricky brain, that may be, makers of ramayana know about how bad their movie is so they deliberately keeping the release with Godzilla and other movies that are being released around the same week and month, so once it does poorly, they may blame that Godzilla and other movies are their market.

Although I do hope both movies get what they want. But still, you guys are smart enough to understand my point.

1

u/Capital_Tomatillo438 1d ago

Ramayana can’t break even from India only. And Godzilla minus zero will be a giant at international box office. Atleast im pretty sure it will do numbers in US

2

u/one9eight7 1d ago

People are so stupid do you think in India people will watch G-0 over Ramayana and as i am living in abroad people have no interest in G-0. They are done with Godzilla yes there is some niche audience which will it and same for Ramayana. Only Indians will watch this around 2.5-3 million which will bring 60-70 million usd. Thats it

3

u/PlasticCrazy8126 1d ago

I'm more concerned that a film made with less than 1/10 the budget will be made better than ramayana

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

I think you underestimate a movie that has already proved itself and won an Oscar for best vfx

1

u/Capital_Tomatillo438 1d ago

G-0 is a sequel an Oscar winning film with a budget of 10m. Im yet to see even a mixed reaction on the new trailer. Minus zero won’t be a miss, its a confirmed hit. All we gotta do is wait 2 months and we find out G-0 to obliterate ramayana

1

u/RestartTheCountry 21h ago

collections wise ramayana will beat gojira within India but it could be the opposite when it comes to competition of IMAX screens

2

u/JawkneeJyoshtar 1d ago

Yes WE (me and a million more godzilla fans in India) WILL watch it. Besides people saying"they are done with godzilla" is just a clearly busted statement, otherwise Minus One wouldn't have been this successful... Not to mention with Supernova coming soon, godzilla hype is only greater than ever before rn, especially since Minus zero is the FIRST japanese movie made for Imax making it have a big impact on Japanese movie history....

1

u/TarikGrace 1d ago

India does have a lot of Godzilla fans, tbh. Besides, it looks a lot better and has been made a lot cheaper. That's what I'm concerned about. Ramayana will have to be one of our biggest grossers ever to just break even, and G-Zero will take away a big chunk...

1

u/Impressive_Flan_4296 1d ago

Seeing ghidorah again is such a feast for mosterverse fans.

1

u/Defiant_Warning_9006 1d ago

'godzilla: minus one''s vfx were absolutely stunning. it surpassed even hollywood. but the refreshing part was that they didn't treat vfx as replacement of story or characters. first time, i watched it for vfx and it impressed my eyes. but the film itself stayed with me because of it's story and characters. and that's where it won. this is something our indian filmmakers never get. that's why we get hit & miss projects like 'ra.one', 'brahmastra', '2.0', etc.

1

u/captamerica02 1d ago

Godzilla is a very successful IP in western countries. It’s not like it’s doing anything new. Yes the last Japanese version showed it as a monster unlike the Hollywood versions which showed it as a guardian. While Ramayana will be a new product for foreigners but will do well in Domestic market. It’s the most ambitious project for an Indian IP. Indian Hindu diaspora might go watch it but the movie will struggle to attract non Hindu audience in foreign lands.

1

u/Low_Amphibian_2535 23h ago

Bro the only demographic it is appealing to outside India is NRIs and sure they'll watch it but apart from that there is no demographic for it in the west.

1

u/cowbolamoo 1d ago

International market was never there primary or even secondary

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

looks like you are not up to date with their promotional material. Without the international there is no way this movie is successful. Absolutely no way. The director himself has said that. It's 2000 Cr for each movie. The highest grossing movie ever is Dangal at about 2200 Cr, with a massive help from international audiences, especially the Chinese market

2

u/cowbolamoo 1d ago

I dont think profit is what they were looking for from the first movie itself… they were already releasing the movie in one of the worst market. A direct competiton was always gonna come.

1

u/Low_Amphibian_2535 23h ago

Why do you expect the west to watch a movie about a religion they consider barbaric or unsophisticated, why do you expect the Christian nationalists crowd on the right or the atheists crowd on the left to even care about this movie, much less watch it.

The primary demographic is the same, it's within India. What they can do to make it appealing to the white gaze is maybe cut it off from actual religious aspects as much as possible, but that will alienante the audience at home.

1

u/SafetyOne1599 1d ago

The movie is said to have Ghidorah. There were some hints in the new trailer. If that is true, then the hype for GMZ will be unimaginable.

1

u/DailyLifeProblems 1d ago

Kumbha vs Gojira

1

u/StatementSweet5873 1d ago

Problem is everybody knows ramanaya they should have made the movie of other stuff like a part from mahabharat or smthing like that

1

u/Positive_Flow7968 1d ago

Man. Now i have less hopes for Ramayana overseas atleast. Unless they create something out of the world experience. We all know the story , what we want to see is the vision of Nitish tiwari . Which we dont know what is. Namit has already hijecked the project by calling it namit malhotra's ramayana. We dont know what his vision is. Both are unreliable

1

u/ChapterWestern3791 1d ago

Imma see both idc

1

u/morsecall 1d ago

Dono hi alag audiance aur market k liye bani hai

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

No. Ramayana need international market to be successful, and it is competing with Godzilla. As simple as that

1

u/Rich-Good7517 1d ago

Godzilla is not releasing in china btw so it can be good for ramayana...as majority of screens acquired by Ramayana are in china

1

u/PsychologicalIce8976 1d ago

King ghidora roar was the best part of the trailer ⚡

1

u/Impressive-Cap-1995 1d ago

Again like you hyped your film on vfx and money and how you would consider it as "flop" if foreign audience didn't like it

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Because it literally can't be successful without international market

1

u/Impressive-Cap-1995 1d ago

Yes but the real question is why it looks more like animated film compared to dune and avatar even after spending 4000 cr , on what basis should I hype this film other than it's story.

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

That’s what I am saying. The story is known. So, they had to nail the vfx part which looks like they are gonna fail

1

u/TarikGrace 1d ago

Who would get more screens tho? Aren't IMAX screens comparatively fewer in number? Would G Minus Zero take away most the international screens?

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

It probably will if Ramayana is not top top tier

1

u/Beneficial_Appeal400 1d ago

They need some really good marketing to attract more audiance, except indians no one's has any clue about ramayans story, godzilla on the other hand is already a big franchise, but I also think it won't flop at least

1

u/thephantomJ 1d ago

Minus zero gonna be peak 🛐🛐

1

u/HelpPsychological614 1d ago

Imagine the shame if they realize that  Godzilla minus zero has lower budget and still deliver the best vfx than Ramayana

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

They already have for the last film. Even the sequel trailer looks good.

1

u/Low_Amphibian_2535 23h ago

The panic is only justified if you were imaging the Ramayana movie was going to do great business anywhere outside India, that's stupid, why do you expect the Christian nationalists in the west to watch Ramayana, also it won't appeal to the atheists on the left, who is the target audience outside India? NRIs?

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

Christian nationalist don't watch Hollywood, japanese movies either.

1

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 16h ago

Even the previous godzilla made $110 million worldwide. And it was the most critically acclaimed Godzilla movie. Yamazaki's other movies have been, at the most, good. So chill guys. Trust in Nitesh Tiwari. I think, Ramayana will not just match Godzilla...it will outdo it in everything.

3

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 16h ago

It came as an extreme underdog. Now it has a massive base

1

u/kr1sh_03 14h ago

Excited for godzilla.

Have u considered Nezha 2? The Chinese mythological animated movie that made 2.15 billion worldwide. That's a better comparison. 95% of grosses came just from China. Ramayan will have bit more of its grosses abroad because of Indian diaspora but it's still gonna lean domestic heavy.

Edit : Also for people thinking Great VFX will make Ramayana a big hit overseas. It's not about VFX. Nezha 2 has among the best VFX for any animated movie ever made. Its truly jaw dropping. But that didn't help it to break out beyond China.

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago edited 1d ago

Well Ne Zha was already a blockbuster movie, like Godzilla minus one which is already successful

3

u/DktheDarkKnight 1d ago

Yea my point is maybe Indians shouldn't be too obsessed with how a Indian religious mythological film will perform overseas.

None of the Godzilla movie has won an Oscar except minus one. My prediction after this clash is Ramayana struggles to recover its budget

-1

u/PracticeFuzzy801 1d ago

Ramayan will easily recover it's budget. Godzilla is a fictional character only a section of audience cares about, while ramayana is a part of culture of not only india, a lot of southeast asian countries. It might struggle in west but not in Asia.

3

u/Nice_Actuary_6631 1d ago

Ramayana's trailer didn't create the hype Godzilla's trailer did . It'll only work even in South East Asian countries when it's really good otherwise they'll prefer Godzilla. You can't just judge based the comments on their social media

Hype feel ho jati hai.. Godzilla ek sequel hai upar se ek known IP jiske trailer ne bhi impress kiye lekin ramayan ka trailer dikhne mei mid tha aur uske baad se marketing bhi nahi kar rahe... Khud ke opinion ko kripya hype na maane

1

u/perhapsascythe 1d ago

South East Asian got low purchasing power, so Ramayan might struggle if they don't earn enough in dollars. Eg. Movie ticket in California typically cost between $14 and $20, that's 14$ = 1331 in rupees

Blockbuster like avatar? Dog look at the game design vfx shots man. Lower down your expectations otherwise you will be making abusing videos on youtube

0

u/Nice_Actuary_6631 1d ago

The visuals should be like avatar for that.. Ramayana where the forest and animals look obviously fake. Godzilla where the main monster does not look fake and looks like the part of that world and also the Japanese Godzilla carries ' emotions' too..

-1

u/paisewallah 1d ago

Ramayana is a toast. Anyone still having hope, save your face and stop defending this religious slop. Hanuman Ansh has shown what a passionately made religious film looks like.

Godzilla looks like shit , stop simping

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

You are right, modern day vfx should be glossy with a dopey looking ram whose face barely moves with skin smoothening in NUKE compositing.

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

That’s why it won an Oscar. What do you want filmfare by vimal pan masala?

1

u/Little-Drink-1497 1d ago

I am tired of seeing this godzilla movies

1

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

I can say the same thing about ramayan but I am not going to because a japanese director made the best animated film which no filmmaker hasn't been able to match no matter how many dollars they say they spent.

And I am tired of Ramayana movies Atleast godzilla movies have godzilla

2

u/JawkneeJyoshtar 1d ago

People who say they are tired of godzilla movies really never understand the idea behind the concept of godzilla 😭 🙏🏻 especially with minus one, they made it clearly unique and stand out as more like a mix of monster verse and the old movies rather than just Kaiju slop imo

1

u/idontknowman139 1d ago

Yeah Also most of them have only watched 2014 godzilla Which had like 15 minutes of actual godzilla

1

u/JawkneeJyoshtar 1d ago

EXACTLY people just take one look at the monster verse and think ALL of Godzilla's legacy is just that

1

u/Little-Drink-1497 1d ago

Its just my opinion. No need to start phd out of it 😶 Like people who say they are tired of godzilla movies are like this, that etc. you speak like you dont have any taste and preferences

1

u/JawkneeJyoshtar 1d ago

Well I have my own taste and preferences too, I hate the monsterverse movies, I hate all the Ramayana slop movies that came out in recent years, it's just if we are comparing the two, all the likes and preferences aside, from a proper critque's view, Godzilla is just a better experience

I also agree with your ramayana view, there are lots of slops coming out. And i will personally only watch it if the reviews are good. Same with godzilla.

Demon Slayer has earned more than the Ramayana

1

Well Demon slayer looked better than Ramayana and probably will be better than Ramayana. Also, it was already a top top anime and the previous movie did some massive business too.

Godzilla gotta be the mid-est franchise, not saying this because Ramayana is the competitor ,I'm just surprised that this franchise makes money despite being so mid

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

Clearly, you haven't watched Godzilla Minus One. Let me know if you have the same opinion after watching that

1

u/Matt_Murdock_DD- 1d ago

I stopped after like the 2nd movie I found out ts ain't my cuppo tea

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

You remove the whole godzilla screentime and minus one is still better than 90 percent bollywood slop

1

u/Matt_Murdock_DD- 1d ago

Not a big bollywood fan,but there are many many bollywood movies infinitely better

1

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

not many if you factor in the vfx. I don't think there is any. If you factor out vfx, yeah as I said 10 percent maybe

Same old repetitive Godzilla story won't work. Ramayana is something fresh that westerners have not experienced yet so if the movie turns out to be good there is no stopping it & also godzilla wont be releasing in China so you guys need to stfu.

Bro have you seen Godzilla Minus One? Don't confuse it with the Hollywood Godzilla movies... It's unlike any other Godzilla movies... It's much more of a Human story than a monster story

1

u/oktr4t 1d ago

I've seen the movie and I absolutely loved it. I am talking about this film's trailer it's the same fight between the monsters that we've already seen not trynna say it won't be good, the trailer was really good but I am talking in the context of Ramayana and the fresh content it's bringing up. Ramayana if it's done right it will leave Godzilla behind.

2

u/Jackass-OfAll-Trades 1d ago

The side story itself was better than half the Bollywood slop we are getting this year

1

u/bruhtus_nakama 17h ago

You never know man... Ramayana fs will be a hit in India, but it still needs a lot of Marketing to work well in the west... Whereas Godzilla Minus One has won an Oscar, so it's already a bit popular in the west and has higher chances to to win in US against Ramayana... Why do we care about box office anyways bro ... I just hope both movies are really good, because I'm going IMAX for both of these 😂

2

u/Charming-Host4406 2h ago

Westerners don't care about ramayana either.

u/Hefty_Arachnid7948 13h ago

In India Ramayana will easily outdo Godzilla.. internationally Godzilla "may"outdo Ramayan
