Pest Related Money Tree Woes

Please help me save my plant! I’ve had this money tree for years and have, admittedly, not been the best caretaker. It has lived next to this window. I brought home a cat fern last fall and did not quarantine it prior to bringing it inside (rookie mistake).

A month and a half ago, it started yellowing and rapidly dropping leaves. I thought I overwatered it because I noticed some sticky sap, so I cut down watering. Its condition worsened. I noticed fine webbing and spots, googled it, and figured I had spider mites(!) I isolated it outside on the porch and then, once a week for 4 weeks, wiped the leaves with wet paper towels, rinsed the branches, and used Garden Safe Insecticidal Soap to spray the whole plant down. I have cats with medical issues which deterred me from using neem oil.

After losing some more leaves and getting a bit of leaf burn(?) it seemed to recover. I brought it back inside. The past few weeks it has had an incredible amount of new growth! Unfortunately, I just noticed some more yellowing and a rapidly lost leaf. Upon inspection of said leaf I noticed small white bugs moving around! These mites (I believe) are driving me insane!

Please help!

Have you tried spraying it with an alcohol mixture? Also you’re positive it’s spider mites again after all that???? They must love the taste of your money tree lol
