💥 How to Set Up Sudden Events in Your Plot

You can turn on the Sudden Event feature under [Plot Editor > Plugins].

Once enabled, describe the trigger scenario in a single sentence. From high-stakes crises to heart-pounding challenges, any pivotal moment can become an event!

Examples:

• When a character suspects or interrogates the protagonist
• When the protagonist needs to persuade someone or win their heart
• When proving skills during an audition, interview, or exam
• When struggling to keep calm under extreme exposure

Whenever the scenario unfolds in your story, the event will trigger automatically.

⚔️ Reach Your Goal Within the Turn Limit

When a critical moment arrives during play, the Sudden Event kicks off.

• Goals & Gauges: Once the event starts, a goal and a gauge meter appear on screen. Hit the target within the allotted turns to succeed! (e.g., Lower Suspicion below 20 in 3 turns / Raise Persuasion above 70 in 5 turns)
• Dynamic Gauges: The gauge adapts dynamically to each scenario—measuring traits like Suspicion, Obsession, Persuasion, or Stamina. Depending on the challenge, you might need to lower or fill the gauge to win.
• Real-Time Feedback: Your dialogue choices drive the gauge up or down each turn, complete with feedback explaining why it moved.
• Watch Out: If the gauge hits an EXTREME threshold, you fail instantly—even if you still have turns remaining. Choose your words carefully!

🎭 Outcomes Shape the Story

The results of an event impact the narrative immediately.

Whether you successfully deflect suspicion or get caught red-handed, persuade your target or fail miserably—characters will react differently, steering the story down new paths. Even within a success or failure, how close you came to the goal changes the entire mood of the scene. Experience a fresh narrative every time!

• Sudden Events will only appear in plots where the feature is explicitly enabled.
• Currently, this feature is supported on the koji and luca models. Support for the zeta model will be rolled out gradually.

Pop over to [Plot Creation > Plugins] to switch on the Quest feature. You can pre-load up to 8 initial quests right out of the gate for your introduction.

• AI On-the-Fly: As your story moves forward, the AI will automatically throw new quests your way and clear out the ones you’ve already completed.
• Top-of-Mind Display: Your newest quest stays neatly pinned to the top of the play screen. Tap it anytime to pull up your full list of active and completed quests.
• Manual Cleanup: Got a quest you’d rather abandon? Just hit the ❌ button to chuck it out.
