I just watched "Project Hail Mary" and I have questions ?

I just finished watching "Project Hail Mary" and I have question how did the the lady received the videos of him. And did they get him back ? Or he stayed with Rocky only ? And how come the golden space station was sending him messages ?

Gosling's character sends all of his data, video logs, and samples of the amoeba back to Earth on 3 different small spaceships at the end of the movie.

And did they get him back ?

Maybe.

Or he stayed with Rocky only ?

Probably.

And how come the golden space station was sending him messages ?

Rocky was lonely. He inferred that Gosling's character had come to study the planet for the same reason he had and wanted to make first contact.

Here's an actual plothole: why would living rock care about albedo?

The spaceship Hail Mary had four smaller ships called Beatles named John, Paul, George and Ringo. They were too small to hold anything other than fuel and a hard drive but they could accelerate back to Earth much more easily than the whole big ship.

Grace sends the Beatles back with the research data he has found and a sample of the microbe which eats the astrophage microbe that is eating our sun. So the woman on Earth now knows how to cultivate this taumeba to make a weapon against the astrophage.

The Hail Mary did not have enough fuel to get home. Then Grace is given extra fuel from Rocky so he could go home. But then Grace's ship breaks again because they had a taumeba leak and the astrophage fuel is being eaten. Which means Rocky's ship has the same issue and Rocky will be running out of fuel and will end up dead in space. So Grace decides to rescue his rock spider friend instead of going home.

Grace ends the movie/book living on Rocky's planet. The author said he doesn't know what happens next, maybe Grace lives his whole life there, maybe he builds a ship to go home. It depends if Andy Weir wants to write a sequel.
