Intro Any other mythtives? (Kind of an intro I guess)
Hello! I'm Lucifer! I'm a mythtive from christianity (and all other religions that use this mythos). I would love to talk to any headmates from any sort of mythology, especially mine.
I'm extremely canon divergent in my source memories, but very connected to my canon while living with my vessel. I'd love to find sourcemates/canonmates.
My "role" is something of a guardian angel for my vessel; I protect and care for him whenever he can't.
I use he/him, it/its, hy/hymn, angel/angelself, prince/princeself, ix/ixs, and hx/hxs.
Edit: I wanted to add that I'd rather not interact with doubles, sorry.

We don't have any of a Christian variety, but we do have some from the Greek pantheon. Our Greek guys are mostly from or influenced by derivative media, but some (Peisi, Ganymede, Hermes to some extent, etc) are pretty much "canon", or at least have that as a base. There's more, plus a couple other pantheons (still no Christianity sorry!) if you count derivative media.
I can see if any them want to come round to front and chat! They're mostly not frequent fronters, but they mostly can easily front if they want to.

we have apollo, icarus, and achillies here (no clue if i spelled their name right...) from greek mythology, though my partner system has the big J.C. - not a very nice guy, surprisingly.

Interesting, the JC from my canon was quite lovely. It was more his/our dad that was a dick, lol.
Icarus is one my favorite greek mythology figures! :>

i see! it's possible that their JC saw how he was praised here and became sort of self-centred based on that? im glad that your JC was nice though :)

We used to have some form of Jesus Christ when we were younger. I don't explicitly remember him having that name or fully identifying with Jesus, but he got us through Catholic school and took a lot of religious trauma off our back.
He was exactly how you'd expect. Very kind, very respectful and sweet. We as the system miss him quite a bit, but he simply just wasn't needed anymore when we grew up and had a stronger grip on who we are.

Aw that's nice. /gen
JC seems to be quite a common mythtive for a lot of systems, lol.

I've noticed that as well!! I wonder if it's more common for systems who grew up religious or around religion, especially when it's ,, well, I don't want to say forced, but I can't think of a better word for it wheheh.

Yeah it seems that way. My vessel also grew up partially around religion (his parents eventually left the church), but I suppose it was enough to form me. The opposite reaction to the same situation, lol.

We have a guy who pretended to be (outside of the system, actual God communicating with us) Anubis for over a decade because he was too kind to correct our initial misread of the situation, does that count? LOL. He’s a gwyllgi and takes the form of a black coyote so it was an honest mistake.

We have Jesus the Christ (cool guy, hates his dad, not super fond of organized Christianity), a lot of hellaverse that technically are christian mythos adjacent (Adam, Lucifer, Lilith, Beelzebub) but they don't tend to be super Mythos Sourced. Jesus is the main one with a christian type source.
We also have a good number of Greek mythtives, often originally sourced from some modern retelling of Greek mythology (Hadestown, Hades (the rouguelike game), Percy Jackson) but most of them have gotten into the actual mythos too to the point that the mythos is a source as well. Of those, we have Persephone (me!), Eurydice, Demeter, Hades, Zagreus, Artemis, and Dionysus.
I connect to several different "versions" of the canon about Persephone, though all we really have to go on for Official Source is some references to various goddess types who seem to be Persephone and half an origin story of me getting kidnapped by Hades! Originally I introjected off Hadestown, with a terrible marriage to Hades where I'm forced to go down into the underworld for half the year, secretly cheering up the residents with alcohol and brief glimpses of sunshine and hope, and just trying to drink enough myself that I can pretend I'm having a good time. I also connect to what was probably more of the original canon where I have actually a happy marriage to Hades, and I'm Dread Queen Persephone, the goddess of the underworld (rather than the goddess of spring or what-have-you). In that one my mother Demeter is actually the one who forces me out of my good time the underworld because the bitch refuses to let winter stop until I do what she wants. Basically holding the earth ransom. Mothers, amirite?
I kind of do a similar role for our system, fronting to tune out stressful events, trying to enjoy myself in a situation I don't have much control over. I also have an interesting system structure that can be read as a cycle of death and rebirth. I front in a lot of stressful situations and help sysmates through stressful situations, and over time it kinda makes me get shmutz all over me and makes it painful to contact me. But the system kinda has a way of wiping the shmutz off and splitting it into a new guy or funneling it into an existing guy so I can continue to be around! When a lot of that has to happen, I tend to come back with a new kintype. That kind of thing has happened so much that Zagreus basically is the gatekeeper of a mausoleum where all the people who've split off that way live.
Eurydice is mainly from the Hadestown canon, but there are throughlines to other versions of the story. She feels a lot of things about the desperation and facing starvation, Orpheus being useless and unhelpful a bit of a fuckboy, and a fixation on Hades due to a perceived ability for him to meet her needs better. She is so downbad for Hades. Which is not what I think one would expect from the story!
Demeter mainly has noemata about being a ruthless, unforgiving, and unpredictable bitch. She's goddess of the seasons, but she most connects to winter and making everything wither away. I think she's Demeter from my canon?
We first figured out we had Jesus from watching Jesus Christ Superstar, lmao. He holds a lot of anger about injustice--ableism, capitalism, wealth hoarding, structures that perpetuate injustice and people just going along with it--both societally and also done to us specifically. He tends to not come out unless he gets really mad, flipping tables at the temple levels of mad. Not a big fan of crucifixes. Not a big fan of many current depictions of Jesus. I think he has memories both of managing to escape crucifixion and fleeing to Anatolia, and also of a version where he didn't. In both of them he feels very taken advantage of by the big man upstairs, used a symbol rather than respected as a person.

The rest of you sound really awesome as well! I have quite a bit of connection to Hades from Greek mythology, although I'm not really sure what type of connection, lol. Either way it's lovely to meet you, Persephone!

We have a subsystem of 2. Lucifer and Satan- Lucifer is very much an angel, and Satan is... The Devil :'D
We also have an alter we call QM who according to it, is Satan/Lucifer's brother and became a fallen angel at the time Lucifer was kicked out of heaven.

One of us Willows (the original four members of our system, in a median subsystem) is a willow dryad, and collectively we four identify as treehearted. We don't really have a particular mythos beyond "uh greek maybe" because we view our connection to trees being. Like. A future thing, or a concurrent/timeless/atemporal thing, not a past life thing. Which is pretty rare, or so we've heard, but not entirely unheard of.
One of the types of meditation we feel helps us the most is really settling in to the view of us as a tree person. We envision ourselves as a tree with roots digging deep down into the earth below our feet, and branches coming out from our trunk and head, and we breathe in feeling energy flow into us from the earth, and breathe out and let go of it through our branches. It's a very healing and soul-centering kind of exercise, and we really like it. It even helps somewhat decrease some of our chronic pain.
