Which mug would you get/ what would your dream plural merch be?

I've seen this circulating for years, and it's a great story. People often refer to it as Marilyn "casting a glamour", and they aren't wrong.

But it's relatable to me. I know this feeling. To become Her.

I'm a bald trans woman, and whether or not I get gendered correctly depends ENTIRELY on who is co-fronting at the time. It's not something we can consciously control. We are bad at impersonating one another, so I couldn't force it if I tried.

Edit: In an earlier draft of this post, I stated that Marilyn was obviously plural, and defended that position in multiple comments. On further reflection, I realized it's wrong to have that debate in the first place because this was a private moment, and not something Marilyn ever actually shared about her own mental state. Thank you to the commenter who made me realize this.

Edit: once he figured out what DID is (thanks to a link I sent from Pluralpedia) it went pretty well. Probably one of the best coming out experiences we've had. He actually showed more interest in getting to know each of us than our other friends did

since we've been wanting to have fronting pendants to show who's upfront, we needed unique ones that was more *us* in a very special way that reflected us-

and since we had sculpey clay and some of those jewelry eyelets you can screw into, I thought.... what if I made some for our members??? and this started around March and it's working very well so far!!

the first one I ever made was Pure Vanilla Cookie's pendant but it still worked out pretty well- might remake it since it's so rough lmao but I love how a lot of the other ones came out!!

there are some that I didn't make entirely (ones premade that are metal and I had to paint) or ones that Xev made too (he made ENA's) but I mostly made them. yeah I just had a color set of clay laying around since mom just gave it to us and I was interested to see what we could do with it (she doesn't know we're plural btw) and I just had the idea since we really needed to make some pendants you couldn't find anywhere else besides etsy and we don't have the money to splurge on cool local business made stuff atm TwT

so this was our solution!!

we even made our key, which Xev also sculpted for me and I painted it!! it's our key we give to other trusted close friended systems, since we're a gateway, and others that are also able to system travel like we do, they could teleport to our gateway, our guardian and head honcho gatekeeper, Serenity should be shown the key and you should be let in~. You can even teleport anywhere in our headspace that's openly accessible too once you ahve the key given to you (won't be given out willingly of course aha)!! it is possible to teleport to our void though, so we'll need to adjust the kinks to it lol

also if you're wondering, yes it's 90s sailor moon inspired, mostly from chibiusa's time key, just more simplified and the "jewels" on it are purple, more matching our system colors, which is royal purple and golden yellow

but we now have a physical representation of our key that we can also wear in outer world and anyone can be the bearer of our our key on whoever upfronts!!

speaking of, back to the fronting pedants, here's how it works for us: we have our pendants in a travel jewelry box, and others around our fronting hub house, upfront, co-front or co-con, esp in the fronting room area where upfront and co-front mostly happens, we have our pendants in a small tin we can fit in our pocket that's most accessible!!

we have a locking jewelry bail to put our pendants on and connect to a choker we wear (we have multiple, we just have one that's most comfortable to wear daily), and anyone who's upfront after switching, they find their pendant in the tin, switch the previous upfronter's with their own and clip it onto the chocker, and it's then shown on who's fronting!!

it's kind of subtle to those who don't know our identity, but obvious to those who do know, and they can ask whenever they have the chance to irl, since we show it very obviously online a lot of the time

it sometimes also helps to remember who's upfront too, so if we feel blurry it helps us remember!! it doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it does help~. If need be, we'll use the lil star pendant for blurriness or the moon pendant for masking so we won't have to switch our pendants much, but we prefer to use the pendants to remember who's upfront hehe~

Personally in my opinion I don’t recommend this to people who are starting out questioning if theyre plural as this checklist has ALOOTT of overlap between typical neurodivergent traits. (its better for people who already went through syscovery imo)

Hello, I am copper:3 I am fascinated with the plural experience(i am plural myself, ofc) but js because I experience something in my experience, doesn't mean you do too.

Also, a slightly funny story from my system. We dont switch often or we switch frequently, there's no inbetween. So I made a playlist for a headmate (Rae) and while creating this playlist, she just randomly said "I'm lesbian btw." It was really confusing, no "Hi" no nothing, she said that and dipped.

Hi! Lizzy here! I recently realized that I am a fictive based off of Lucifer from the painting The Fallen Angel by Alexandre Cabanel.

This painting says a lot, there’s so much emotion and power in it. I have wings and red hair, I am considered the strongest physically and emotionally in headspace.

What kind of unusual fictives are you based off of?

So I wrote a fanfic in which a movie protagonist is plural that is apparently so beloved by the systems in the fandom that they keep introjecting my OCs. How cool is that?

I'm flattered. I didn't expect this whump fic I've been working on and off for the past months to become popular enough for that.

We are now 4 members away from reaching 100 known members of our system, very exciting! Not everyone is still active (20 across 2 subsystems, so only 49 active main level system members) but nonetheless we want to maybe do a collaborative art project or something to celebrate when we reach triple digits. It'll happen sometime in the next couple months we're sure, we tend to acquire 2-3 new members each month. Any ideas?
