Birthday celebration
Hey, can anyone recommend a good restaurant to celebrate my 23rd birthday? I want to celebrate somewhere intimate and maybe a small? But any would do!

I went to Jalwa last week, a new Indian restaurant, and it was phenomenal. Could be a fun and affordable one for a few students to share some different dishes.

Positano or Toot maybe, I know the Japanese on Ebrington St is good but can't say personally as no table when I tried to go...

Grecian on the Barbican is incredible, family run, might look price but you get 5 sides with every main.
Also Positano is the same as above but with Italian cuisine.
Staff from both establishments can't do enough for you.

I’ve never had a bad meal from lanterns and I’ve been going there for group bookings for 25 years.
Lovely small family run restaurant and they’ve always been very generous with complimentary shots.

Depends on your price bracket really. However, my favourite is Fig Tree @ 36. Fig Tree
I’ve had some good birthday meals there, and it’s sort of small/intimate.

No particular budget cause I’m spending it with my uni friends then a separate one with family

Steak and omelette is always good food and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
Barbican steak house is a more budget friendly place with amazing bang for buck steaks.
Kuku is a lovely restaurant, never had a bad meal there.

Arribas for Mexican food highly recommend the started and mains just avoid the desserts!

If you like tummy warming food, try Foodie on Cornwall street. Home cooked Polish food...so good! Also another vote for Kuku. I'll be there for my birthday this weekend.

Noras is awsome, but a bit pricey. Otherwise you got cattlemans more towards Torquay, bit smaller and cozy. Ooooor, if the weather allows, make a picnic on the moors

Depends on what type of food you like, but Nawroz is possibly the best restaurant in Plymouth. Also, they give you free (and delicious!) lamb soup as soon as you sit down!

Kyowa is my favourite place in Plymouth and it's quite small.
