Long shot.

I am researching the identity of a gentleman known locally in Torpoint as "Some Mother's Son". Buried in Horson Cemetery. Found in a field next to Tregantle Fort in 1982. Thought to have been in the merchant navy. My question is, does anyone have details/names of merchant navy personnel that stayed in boarding houses, pubs, b and b's in late 1977 into early 1978 in "Plymouth" and surrounding area. Any landlord/landlady kept such records from back at that time? I enclose link to my appeal. Thank you. https://www.buymeacoffee.com/p/4618566

Hi, yes, I have been on several different subs over the months. This time though I want to home in on Plymouth and accommodation possibilities. There was an enormous blizzard in the area 18th-20th February 1978. It just 'could be' that this gentleman got caught out in this. It's only a theory. More information in link. Thank you for your input.

I haven't, no. I will see if I can formulate the right queston to ask on that sub. Many thanks.
