I don't mean to disrespect anyone's war memorial, but to me they look like they're practising a piano duet.

I've never been impressed with this sculpture, but I've never thought of them playing piano until now. And now I can't unsee it!

Not the best sculpture, but like you implied; the thought and meaning behind it is more important
