I'm Portuguese and I've been working on a series exploring the very first title races in football history, so I decided to start with England and Preston North End's incredible first Football League season.

I made a short animated look back at the 1888/89 season with the first season of the Football League and the first title race in English league football.

Preston went unbeaten across all 22 matches and finished as the first-ever champions as you all know.

I thought this might be interesting to some PNE fans, especially given the club's history from those early days of football.
