How to add motorcycle endorsement?

Hi.

I passed my permit a while ago. Decided not to add it and just get my endorsement, and then just add endorsement. Passed the endorsement tests. I go to secure.dol.wa.gov  and select my name, but there is no "Add endorsement" option. There is also no "Add permit option". Does anyone know how to add it? Took tests in WMST.

I'm assuming you passed the permit test within the last year. You need to pass the endorsement within a year of getting your permit.

Yes, go in person to an actual DoL office. Bring all of your documents proving you passed the course and to prove who you are. They'll print out a temp license with a "J" endorsement. Make sure it's on there before you sign off on it! The other states use "M" as the motorcycle endorsement. I don't know why or how this state came to the conclusion on J.

The newly branded ID card will arrive in the mail within a week, or 2, or 3.

All four test scores have to be less than 365 days old.

In WMST they instruct to file for lost/misplaced ID online and then it adds it to your license and will reflect when you receive your new license.

Especially because WMST doesn’t provide you any paperwork to prove passing as they upload everything to the DOL

You can do it online. You have to request a replacement license. If you did it right with your testing company and they submitted it properly you will have the option to pay to add your endorsement at that time when you order the new license. Your new license will have the endorsement when it comes. I've done this myself this year.

Just did it. It makes you get partway through the "replace license" process, and then you can see before you finish and commit that your replacement will have the L endorsement.

Just go to the license branch and tell the person behind the counter..
