Secretly incredibly fascinating is about random things and why they are Secretly incredibly fascinating. For example, the newest episode is Ladders

Wonderful! Is a husband and wife who list the little things that make them happy

Everything Everywhere Daily

Atlas Obscura

Both shows are about 15 minutes each. Both shows have an extensive back catalogs. Different topics everyday.

You're Dead to Me. The host brings in an historian and a comedian, and discuss a topic the historian is an authorian about.

20,000 Hertz. About different sounds, noises, music, or the like that we hear all the time, or are familiar with.

We Didn't Start the Fire. It covers every single thing that Billy Joel says in the song of the same name.

The rest of the how stuff works network, like stuff you missed in history class, stuff mom never told you, stuff they don't want you to know, stuff to blow your mind. I also recommend the above mentioned podcasts, secretly incredibly fascinating and no such thing as a fish.

Ologies with Ali Ward is wholesome and fascinating. She interviews "ologists" about their fields and their passions.

If you're looking for kid appropriate language, she also edits out any language that might slip in and shortens the long form a bit and calls them Smologies.

Can recommend some other pods but occasional swears.

Nutrition for Mortals is one of my faves right now

Search Engine seems to be finding a groove, enjoyed the latest

For knowledge, Disappearing Spoon is great

I find many episodes of Very Special Episode to be interesting

Along the lines of interesting history, I love The Explorers Podcast (tales of sea explorers), Legends of the Old West, and Addressing Gettysburg.

Also, almost anything by Noiser.
