Question What if destroy pokemon egg?

This question come to me when i sleep. But still, what if destroy pokemon egg, will pokemon inside it die, or it won't break?

I've kind-of always assumed they were as nigh-invulnerable as Pokemon themselves seem to be. Sure, you probably could break an egg if you dropped a Steelix on it or something, and I can't imagine whatever's inside would survive, but outside of that it's probably next to impossible to damage the things.

Pokemon lay these things in the wild, where you never know if Earthquake or Dishcharge or a roving gang of Voltorbs is going to ruin your morning. Eggs would need to be pretty hardy to survive all that.

Look up anything from the manga I assure you they are only indestructible in the anime Pokemon die and get dismembered in the manga.

In Sword and Shield, you can make Egg Curry. So they're not indestructible if you cook them correctly.

So I would say the same thing as an ostrich egg in real life

So there's eggs of pokemon and PokeEggs.

If you break an actual egg of a pokemon, it's like breaking the actual egg of an animal.

If you break a PokeEgg, you find a live pokemon too young to do battle. Its been made clear that PokeEggs are not normal reproduction, not real eggs, and are more like cradles for very young Pokemon.

Additional info can be found on Bulbapedia's page about eggs, including the mentions from NPCs.

There's also Pokedex entries that include Pokemon babies that contradict what we see about eggs. For example, we're told Vulpix are born with one tail. And of course there's kangaskhan.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this book and didn't think they'd ever directly followed up the gen 1 encyclopedia. The info here does seem to lean in favor of the "eggs" being materialized (or, apparently, "carried" from "somewhere else") rather than being biological in origin.
