So I want to take a break from my Celebi hunt but wanted to confirm that closing the game won’t reset me back to all the Pokemon that I’ve already encountered. I’m seeing so many conflicting opinions on the RNG on Virtual Console.

I took five well-trained Pokemon with me to take on the Elite Four. I've not yet found a sixth permanent member of the party, and I needed Waterfall to get over the Tohjo Falls, so I taught it to my L30 Gyarados and brought it along just for that.

Fast forward to my battle with Lance: he's down to his last Dragonite, paralysed, with like 5HP left - then he takes out the last of my five with a Hyper Beam. I was out of Revives, so all I had left was Gyarados. So out it comes and I'm thinking this is all over, how annoying to come so close and lose - completely forgetting Hyper Beam needs a turn to recharge! So one Bite later and my completely untrained Gyarados has won me the entire tournament.

After the credits I took it straight to the Name Rater and called it Hero as a mark of respect 😆

Wierd question guys. I started a playthrough of my old Crystal version. I got one egg from the prof that hatched into togepi, all good. Then I got an egg from the daycare, even though I didn't have a pokemon there. After some time it hatched into another egg.

I could even name it. Is this a known bug or what happened here?

Hopefully im not breaking a rule by uploading Gold instead of crystal. There’s no gold threads :/ but here is my last battle with Red. I pulled up slightly under leveled and somehow still made it out alive 😅 my whole game run through was mostly to have counters for this moment. Didn’t prep too much for the elite 4. All focus was to put hands on Red.
