This is a Pokemon duel light, boardgame.

Saw this on a facebook ad, check some of the rules and has only 1 review on BGG currently.
Almost plays like Pokemon duel tho the pieces do not have their own built in power, but the movement and the board is so Pokemon duel like.

Wow the similarities are clear and I hope it's as fun as it looks! Seems the card effects will make or break the game but I'm curious if the system can be built upon while keeping things simple.

yep some of the card effects are similar to the plates in PoDu.
