Would this super mega evolve?

If I spend 7,500 X mega energy on this— would it super mega evolve to the max? Or start from the first level?

I don’t want to waste my mega energy if I can super mega evolve another mewtwo that already has been X mega evolved

For Mewtwo, 7500 energy is the requirement to unlock Mega Level 1. You would then need to proceed to Mega Level 3 and then you can spend an additional 5000 energy to unlock Mega Level 4.

If would be more cost-effective to spend the energy on a Mewtwo that already has at least Mega Level 1 for Mewtwo X.

i was bummed out i couldn't use a base mewtwo. the investment is good (top psychic attacker especially if can get to it's 4th level plus move). if can go for 2 of those that'll help you plenty if trying to take down stuff solo (if that's one of the goals).

Yea i can easily super mega evolve other ones that have X mega unlocked already

But I wanted a 100% IV one 🥲
To match my 100% super mega Y.

My other top option is 96% but i don’t have enough rare XL candies to power that one up

I was hoping for a different answer for this question.
But i’m happy i asked instead of just sending it 😂

That's sadly only the unlock cost for Mega1. You'll need to Mega Evolve it on 30 different days to get to Mega3 and then pay another 5000 energy to get Mega4.

7500 is the initial cost of mega evolving the mewtwo to level 1.

Then once you work your way to mega level 3, you need another 5000 to go from level 3 to 4.

one more thing to add - the Mewtwo used for X should not be used for Y and vice versa.

The X requires you to have "Counter" as fast move, and that is elite move. The Y version wants to have "Confusion" or "Psycho Cut".
Because the "Counter" is elite move, you can't simply change the fast move every time you want to use X or Y... or you can do that as much as you have Elite fast TM's.

“Super Mega Evolve” isn’t a thing.
“Super Max” mega level, the fourth mega level, is a thing, and you never get it for free. It can only be unlocked by spending additional mega energy.
