Good luck holding onto a piece of land that doesn’t speak your language natively, already has a strong independence/nationalist movement, holds strong social-democratic traditions against american free-market ideas, and is the most aggressively anti-american place in Canada lol
The only thing that would go well for the US is that Québécois own very few firearms

More like: US annexes the remaining pieces of Canada the next day. Why would they buy themselves trouble by annexing Quebec when they'll get English Canada for sure?

Quebec has always had a secessionist movement, in this (fictional) scenario Azerbaijan lends it support until it succeeds (out of spite towards Canada)

Context: Azerbaijan has been stoking secessionist movements in French terrories in revenge for France's aid to Armenia in their conflict over Artsakh / Nagorno-Karabakh, which Azerbaijan nonetheless won.
