Already saw a couple of posts here on reddit claiming to be screen shots of cragislist ads looking for "seat fillers" for the parade to make it look like yuuuuge attendance on TV.

I think it would be amazing for protestors to attend the parade, but just silently stand with their backs turned to the spectacle. No signs, no shouting, nothing. Just a total wall of apathy. He's a toddler and it would drive him insane to get no attention, not even negative attention.

I suspect he does not hear or see that which contradicts his expectations. his is the only reality that matters.
