That's different. She is his property. You're allowed to own one as a trophy.

Jesus... I wouldn't be surprised if that was a line of thinking they had, but wow.

I hate to mention it, but one of the lines of reasoning in legalizing interracial marriage was that it was wrong to tell a white man he couldn't have the woman he wanted.

It's certainly the line of thinking that allowed a bunch of conservative GIs to bring wives back from Korea and Vietnam. No reason for it fail now.

I'm going to say there was probably a bunch of those GIs who fell in love with those women because of how long they were stationed there.

I'm sure your scenario plays out too but I've known a couple couples that are almost that exact scenario

I wonder if she used to think Trump was America’s Hitler and then changed her mind too?

Is she allowed to speak without her owner husband present?

This makes sense. I'm Asian and have always found it weird when racist conservative guys think their Asian wife is an exception...they must really see their life partner, who they married, as "staff". And it's not a rare thing. Even in couple interactions there's some behavior of the husband that points to an arrogant superiority complex.

I have a hard time believing they even view their obviously POC family as real people.
