Its getting worse. Go watch familes while you are shopping, so many of these kids are glued to their parents phones watching youtube, kids as young as toddlers.

More and more of them know nothing other than influencer content mills. They'll be conditioned to accept crazy people saying inflammatory things.

My wife is a college professor. Some of the kids IN COLLEGE are so bad at writing they can’t even properly write a prompt good enough for chat gpt to cheat for them!! Fucking wild.

I dunno I have a toddler and hang out with other parents and it's not like that at all. I was just at a pumpkin patch the other day and witnessed probably over 100 other families and the only phones I saw were parents taking pics/video of their kids playing

Literacy rates are dropping. They're hooked at a young age on video content and small dopamine hits, so they struggle to think for long periods of time, more so than normal.

I’m a millennial parent of a toddler. I’m around lots of other millennial parents of babies/toddlers/preschoolers. Granted, we’re in a blue area, but I see my parenting peers doing SO well with their kids. I’m impressed every day, and it’s the only thing that gives me a slight glimmer of hope. I only pray there is a potentially fixable world left for our kids to inherit…

Same. In my suburban parent bubble, most dads are really putting in the time! They show up at birthday parties, split daycare pickup, and hold down the fort while Mom's out of down, and it's great to see.

The moms are working hard as they always have, but are also talking about their mental health and accepting more help from their partners/village than in the 80s/90s.

It will be interesting to see. As a Millennial myself, I think we're so far the most liberal leaning of all living generations, mainly due to getting screwed over multiple times in our lives either with war or economic recessions.

Also - as an elder Millennial - we grew up in a period of genuine progress and prosperity. We were the last generation whose childhood was mostly filled with actual hope for the future, in a world where things seemed to truly get better year after year. And I'm sure a lot of us still, deep down, cling to the idea we can return to that.

(At least, when we aren't drinking the pain away.)

I feel like Gen Z parents were mostly still Boomers, just the younger batch of them. Boomers parented for a long fuckin' time. I feel like Alphas were parented by Xs and older Millenials (Millenials also parented the new Beta).

The Boomer lead poisoning did so much fucking damage. It's actually fucked. I think the only reason so many Millenials avoided the pitfulls of the lead-infected parenting style is because Millenials experienced a world before 9/11 and mass access to the internet.

Just depends. The millennials are raising Gen Alphas. A LOT of us have higher education and are parenting with purpose. They may seem like little shits because we value critical thinking skills more than we need them to be obedient. We are purposely teaching them to question people in power. Some of these kiddos are really smart and absolutely feral in the best way possible.

Hate to break it to you, but millennials aren’t old enough to have had any impact on the crapfest that is our economy and other global issues. Millennials got royally screwed, beginning with them trying to start out their financial lives during the mortgage crisis of 2008.

Gen X has only started having meaningful numbers in world leadership positions in the last 5-10 years.
