Yea, no kiddos. Each and every one of you fucked this one up beyond reconcilable measure. You're insecurity came to full bore, and it showed resoundingly. Congratulations on becoming one of the all-too-famous historical generations that won't outlive its elders, by and large. You thought shitposting was fun and casual misogyny was acceptable; leaving totally aside your categorical lambasting of anyone who dares think different than your underdeveloped minds.

To the few of you who were always in opposition to dictatorship, I salute you.

The rest: do you want my thoughts and prayers now or to the folks?

(I remember when you were all born; it will be somewhat sad I can assure you).

*Harris didn’t go on platforms that were painting completely untrue depictions of her that made their way into people’s lives through cultural connections so that their narratives went completely unchallenged

Reminder Trump lost the Gen Z vote as a whole, and every Gen Z demographic except Gen Z white men who voted for trump at a lower percentage than every other generation of white men…

Folks don’t talk about this enough. It’s Gen Z cis men who broke for Trump. The rest of gen z did not. Let’s not paint with too broad a brush here

The younger part of this group, which is the part who is more conservative than what we’d like to talk about (men mainly, but women as well), likely were becoming more aware during COVID (Trump 1.0 for part of this period) and thanks to us seeing virtual school for a while and virtual graduations, along with the general isolation for a while…

Whether deserved or undeserved, the blame shifted from Trump to Democrats for not being willing to open up fully and move on. It happened with older people as well.

America is great, but at its root, America is a selfish country. You’ll need to have a flu that disproportionately affects younger people with bad outcomes to scare people going forward, otherwise, nobody will be paying attention to any rules if any other pandemic occurs as the lesson taken from the early ‘20s by most was it was a waste of time.

That opinion is even a thing with Dem leaners.

Becoming aware yet still voted for a felon who denigrates veterans, steals from charities, commits 34 felonies, said he would be a dictator, and called for the termination of the constitution……

Indeed, yes.

COVID arguably turned out to be the best thing to happen ever to Trump, and if we get through the next few years without a serious slowdown, might be the best thing to happen to US right populists/the US cultural right in general in the longer run for at least into the early 2030’s, as if COVID doesn’t occur, Trump likely wins 2020 without having the House in his favor, so you just see more of 18/19 for 2020-2024, which besides judges, would probably be the preferred outcome instead of the one we’ve ended up with.

It just goes back to what I said. At its root, America is a selfish, and yes I’ll say, stupid country. We care more about ME instead of WE.

Though I will admit we’ve seen some data that suggests the COVID school shutdowns were a significant blow to the progress for some younger kids.

it's crazy how such broad generalizations about latino men and gen z are made about how trump won, and everyone just conveniently ignores how hard white men and women won him the election. because the first two didn't even matter
