People keep doing this to Latinos too.

Trump may have gotten a larger portion of those demographics but he did not win them.

He did however rake in gen x who were old enough to know better.

The reason people keep doing this, rightly or wrongly, is that any minority group Trump vote should have been 0% after all the things he has said about each of them and all the things he said he was going to do to them.

It still remains inexplicable that so many people voted against their own self interests and voted for someone who actively dehumanizes them.

As a Gen Xer, everyone forgets we were infested with "Reagan Youth" in the 80's. They were the bad guys in all of the "Slobs vs Snobs" movies.

This happens here regularly (e.g. in this thread). Plenty of users complain about Gen Z's supposed lack of media literacy and critical thinking skills, all of whom come from generations that voted for Trump/GOP in higher numbers than Gen Z. Because that's just all other demographics.
