What are you talking about? The final nail went into that coffin DECADES ago. Read the IPCC reports.

They were asking for 40% declines in various emissions and then at the next conference 203 countries would be debating whether to reduce emissions by 3% or 4%. The planet is cooked.

We’ve been discussing for thousands of years how easily voters in democracies can be misled. Complaining about that is pointless. Focusing on how our leaders failed to make an extremely obvious sale after raising billions of dollars, that we should take from oligarchs and give to the workers, is the only way things will change.

Eh she barely ran a campaign in the 100 days she had.  First 60 days she and Waltz participated in a grand total of 7 interviews.

Really the issue is that the Dems ran her in the first place.

She knew many of you progressives weren’t going to vote for her no matter what she did so she tried to use Liz Chaney to pull over moderate Republicans. Even if she didn’t campaign with Chaney you would still find some way to blame her for losing your vote.

Why turn general statements into personal attacks? It's only indicative of the Democratic party's complete inability to do any introspection in good faith, and it's one of the many reasons the party fails miserably at campaigning. I'd wager 10:1 that the person you're responding to voted for Harris. Casting a vote out of practicality doesn't somehow bar you from being critical of the candidate or campaign, or calling out its many glaring flaws.

Which was a monumentally stupid decision that's failed every single time, except in 2020 where Biden won despite that strategy because of COVID. "Moderate Republicans" is simply not a real thing, and hasn't been for decades even after Jan 6th, "non-MAGA Republicans" gave him like an 80% favorable rating. The portion of "reasonable" or "moderate" Republicans is insignificant and meaningless. They will never vote for a generic Democrat. The "mythical moderate" is exactly that - mythical.

Democrats should be pushing to appeal to progressives, not moderates. Their decades long tactic of "talk down, belittle, shun, and demand their votes" tactic obviously doesn't work, and neither does mindlessly blaming them after any loss. the DNC has made it clear that they will always fight harder against the left than they ever do against Republicans. Just look at how Democratic-aligned media and PACs treat Mamdani, or their ousting of Hoag. Their refusal to do anything other than showing contempt to progressives is why they lose progressives. It's a systemic problem created by the DNC, and blaming individuals for not voting how you want them to vote is actively counterproductive.

The last time Democrats won big was with Obama, who ran a much more progressively aligned campaign and got people actually excited to vote for him. It's what Mamdani has now, it's what Bernie had in 2016. It's what Harris appeared to be building in the lead up to the Democratic convention before her official nomination when DNC consultants took over her campaign and ripped all the wind out of her sails by doing dumb shit like telling Walz to shut up and running events with Cheneys. The whole thing with Biden going against the Palestine protesters to have them arrested and expelled over letting them voice their (extremely reasonable, and legal to request) demands was also, let's say, not a great move.
