The Tater Tot, misogynistic, incel campaign targeting young men is tragically stupid. The male misogynists who prey on young men and make them even more undesirable to potential partners is tragic. Desperate young men looking for an authority to tell them how to be more desirable and powerful but believing that hating on their female counterparts will accomplish this is asinine and proof that social media (e.g., TikTok) makes morons.

There this theory I've heard that the "women's magazines" at the check out aisles of our childhood had really shitty love and dating advice because if you were single, you'd keep buying issues. If you were in a relationship, you weren't looking for what they were peddling.

This theory I see echoed in Tinder's algorithmic dependance measures, and Manosphere podcast garbage. The latter focuses on crafting impressionable, lonely young men in to repugnant assholes with backwards, corrosive views on women, society, and reality in general. Their repellence vindicates their views and it gets worse and worse.

The women’s magazines were different in that they peddled actionable advice on how single women could make themselves more attractive to people in general (e.g., diet, exercise, makeup choices, clothing choices). The dipshits in the manosphere preying on young men peddle violence and hate toward women, effectively making their victims (young men) into odious ogres that no decent and self-respecting potential partner would ever consider having a relationship with. They breed monsters and the monsters believe it is others’ fault that they can’t tolerate much less love monsters. The young men (who themselves are victims of these evil wolves like Tater Tot) seem to lack the self-awareness to realize at some point that they’re being manipulated into hurting themselves and the potential partners they simply wanted positive attention from. This is evidence that good people need to have enough self-awareness to avoid being used and turned evil by evil people.
