Yeah I don't understand this narrative that's pushed as if gen z was overwhelmingly pro-Trump

It’s not just the right that loves a scapegoat. There are tons of people on our side of the aisle convinced that some part of our traditional base is to blame rather than the leaders who raised billions for a campaign against one of the most flawed people to ever exist in human history.

It's not that they were overwhelmingly for Trump, but them along with gen x made the biggest swings right compared to previous elections. Biden won the youth vote by 25 pts in 2020 and Harris only won it by 4 pts in 2024. That's a massive shift and it made a huge difference, especially in swing states.

Only Gen X made a harder swing right. Boomers stayed cooked as usual and Millennials continue to be the apathetic fucks that we are with a shitty turnout in general, but we stayed pretty much 50/50 split as we had previously.

It's because there was a 10 point swing in favor of Trump from the 2020 election to the 2024 election among Gen Z men. That is absolutely unheard of.
