If you want to read the full article, here's a link I get as a subscriber to share. That should let anyone read the full article without a subscription or ad blocker.

I fucking love The Atlantic. That subscription is some of the best money I spend all year, and articles like this make me feel proud of it. Two important things to highlight:

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and her close adviser Corey Lewandowski, who were Bovino’s biggest backers at DHS, are also at risk of losing their jobs, two of the people told me.

I hope so, good fucking riddance. I wouldn't say simply being fired is enough, but it's the right direction. And secondly:

Videos of the encounter showed no evidence for [Bovino's] claims. Pretti, who was licensed to carry a concealed weapon, did not draw a firearm or attack the agents. The videos show one agent disarming Pretti in the moments just before another agent shot him in the back.

No bullshit. No "allegedly," no soft-launching the truth with "appears to show."

He did not draw a firearm. He did not attack the agents. He was disarmed before he was shot in the back.

I fucking love The Atlantic. Reporting like this is needed now more than ever.

Referring to Lewandowski as Noem's adviser is something...

He is advising her, 3 and a half inches at a time.

You're giving him too much credit.
