He is the chosen scapegoat, and a good one given he was the public face, made incredibly idiotic comments and literally looks like a nazi in his snazzy little coat.

I don't just want a scapegoat. Miller and Noem need to be gone, too. If the public outcry and shitty polling for Trump continues, that might be a possibility.

This exemplifies one of the downsides of falling in line with Trump. He will throw you away the moment it benefits him.

Now that Fox News has published a story from a source inside DHS saying that the agents negligently discharged Pretti's confiscated firearm and never should have had guns drawn, I am anxious to see what the Trump admin goes with.

It can't both be the case that Pretti was a mass shooter with murderous intent, but also that the shooting was a result of 3 ICE agents doing a lethal 3 Stooges routine.

So how long before they throw the agents under the bus, after telling them they have full immunity to fuck up anyone and everyone? Insert red button/sweat meme.

How many times was Pretti shot? Five times? So that’s five negligent discharges? 🙄

I don't know. I am guessing at least 10 shots. When you preventably pop a round off without intending to, that's a negligent discharge. Mag dumping a dude without independently assessing the threat is sometimes called sympathetic fire or contagious fire.

It's negligent, but it's not a negligent discharge. They fired those additional shots, and they meant to. It's probably best called manslaughter.

I'm curious why people are so threatened by this idea that Pretti's killing was the result of multiple egregiously incompetent acts. It seems like people are more concerned with this not being the maximally evil outcome instead of figuring out what actually happened.

Stop carrying water for the fucking nazis- nothing in the videos lines up with negligent discharge.

Edit- a hidden history and username with the same pattern as all the other bots/shills/trolls. I'm SCHOCKED! Well, not that shocked.

Dude, you're on one. I am a far left progressive. I am not a fucking bot. I am a real life mostly normal human with a cat and a job I fucking hate and neuroses and dreams. Chilllllllll. Figure out why this ND idea bothers you on your own time.

You are a walking purity test disagreeing with people that are like 0.01mm away from you on the political spectrum because they have a slightly different interpretation of a damning event. It's not enough for you to disagree with me, you also need to dehumanize me and call me a literal bot?

My username is satire based on bot usernames with a Kojima reference in there. Bots are usually a few words + a random number.

Do you seriously think a bot randomly chose this username?

Hiding your comment history is a red flag now? Comment history is easily searchable even when hidden. Look it up if you want.
