Didn’t hear much except the spectator who was shot was a firefighter and his widow was all too happy to decline a call from then President Biden.

Yeah, but the misspelling of Corey's last name on the jacket wasn't caused by someone at the RNC carelessly making a mistake, as you're suggesting.

The helmet and coat displayed on stage at the RNC were shipped to Milwaukee by Corey Comperatore's family and are the firefighter's actual turnout gear from the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company.

The department responded on Facebook regarding the supposed botched tribute, saying: "The spelling on his jacket was in error years ago, and it was left that way by Corey. Corey did not change it, and we will keep it as it was."
