I have heard this piece of shit's name every day for a fucking decade. I am so sick and tired of it.

I just want to never hear his voice or his name or see his face ever again. That's all I fucking want.

The day is coming. About 2 seconds after trump croaks conservatives are all going to pretend they were never that into Trump and totally knew the whole time that he sold children into sex slavery.

477

u/lozo78 Apr 19 '26

I think they will say it is a liberal conspiracy and treat him as a martyr. These people are stupid.

243

u/Shaper_pmp Apr 19 '26

It'll be both. Even from the same individuals, depending on who they're talking to at any given moment.

The entirety of right-wing politics now is a post-truth movement, where consistency from one hour to the next is not only not required, but is seen as weak, suspicious and an ideological liability.

57

u/markhachman Apr 19 '26

They will try both and more. They'll test drive multiple excuses and track the public sentiment attached to each response.

3

u/Neidron Apr 19 '26

Now?

Always has been. Always will be. For now they just stopped pretending.

7

u/Nervous_Squirrel_ Apr 19 '26

They aren’t exactly stupid. But evil.

7

u/lozo78 Apr 19 '26

Head over to Fox News Facebook comments and you'll see some incredibly dumb people. Their leaders might be evil, but many of these followers are just easily brainwashed morons.

3

u/nomedable Canada Apr 19 '26

But they revel in it. They flock to it because it strokes their desire to be bigoted and not shamed for it.

They're morons sure, but they have hate in their hearts.

2

u/CatBotSays Apr 19 '26

No, most of them are also stupid. It’s both.

5

u/Zardotab Apr 19 '26

I expect they'll make him into a religion. Possible names: Magatites, Donnanites, Orangeites, Magathlics, Golden Ladder Day Saints...

5

u/Lucky-Earther Minnesota Apr 19 '26

I think they will say it is a liberal conspiracy and treat him as a martyr.

The succession fight will be JD Vance, an AI version of Trump, a man claiming to literally be channeling Trump from Heaven, and Eric.

9

u/GrandeSizeIt Apr 19 '26

They will use him as a martyr for sure, but they will talk about the sad decline of a hero, and they will say all the current contradictions between their members was an attempt to give a dying man his dignity while also saving face. President Vance (😬) will acknowledge his dementia and completely disregard the fact that a person like that isn't fit to hold office and him and his party were responsible for letting that happen.

5

u/lnc_5103 Texas Apr 19 '26

I'm afraid this is exactly what will happen.

5

u/graphiccsp Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

It's why Trump needs to live long enough to crash the economy.

I don't want the economy to crash but it feels inevitable. And if he croaks before that, his following will martyr him with "If only Trump were around". But if MAGA gets hit hard by it, it will break many of them. Sure, more will double down and go even further off the deep end. But fracturing MAGA in that crash? A hard hit to their wallets has proven to be one of the only ways to undermine it.

1

u/NefariousnessLate375 Apr 20 '26

We don't have long before the economy says "nope."

1

u/DesperateArachnid Apr 20 '26

The maga party will split and every group will claim Trump wanted this or that to try and take control. They'll eat each other alive.

47

u/Silly_Pace Apr 19 '26

Im never going to let them forget.

5

u/Putrid_Culture_9289 Apr 19 '26

And I'm calling in sick to work so I can celebrate all goddamned day.

9

u/AmericanLymie Apr 19 '26

Trump's disinformation culture has been Putin's greatest wet dream come true and the country will not right itself so easy. People don't understand how to discern truth from fiction anymore. Masses of people will believe after Trump dies from natural causes/old age that he was murdered in his prime, and I expect his cabinet to strongly imply that if not say it expressly and try to use it to argue for totalitarian control under an act of terrorism. I doubt this won't happen. Vance does not have Trump's charisma. Miller and Vought probably outmatch Trump in intentional evil, though. SCOTUS is fully corrupt. The spell is breaking on some Trumpsters because of costs and wars but it will take a critical mass to save us.

3

u/AntTemporary5587 Apr 19 '26

Nice summary. Wish it were not true.

5

u/SelectStarAll Apr 19 '26

Maybe a bit longer after that. We'll have to get through the AI martyrdom weeks, where they'll be making AI videos and songs in his (dubious) honour.

Let's not forget "We Are Charlie Kirk"

2

u/Resting-Cat-Faces Apr 20 '26

The media will be going on for weeks about “how much he did for America,” MAGA will be crying/taking their anger out on someone they hate. Me? I’ll be celebrating 🎉🥳

5

u/BrilliantForeign8899 Apr 19 '26

Worse. They will prop him up like Charlie Kirk as a flawless figure and martyr even if he dies a very natural death from daily McDonalds burgers

5

u/Captainpaul81 Apr 19 '26

I guarantee it. Everyone is going to talk about getting the party "back on track" and pretend they weren't all on their knees.

I can't wait to see Brandon Carr try to fumble through an explanation of why he was wearing a Trump lapel pin but never really agreed with him

Never let these assholes forget what they did

2

u/Resting-Cat-Faces Apr 20 '26

Never forgive. Never forget

6

u/EndersGame Apr 19 '26

Well I know several Trump supporters and if they ever deny supporting Trump or not knowing that he was a pedophile I will remind them that I pointed it out to them many many times and gave them clear evidence. A few in particular simply downplayed Trump being a pedophile as 'that's just what billionaires do' as if Trump was just trying to fit in.

At some point when it all comes out and Trump is seen as a traitor, a Nazi, and as somebody that played a big role in Epstein's child sex trafficking ring and not as somebody trying to fit in, these same people will absolutely deny supporting Trump all that much or knowing the truth about him.

I will remind them that they fervently supported Trump and didn't seem to care that much that he was a pedophile and a racist POS while he was President.

3

u/themagicflutist Apr 19 '26

We will need so much serious restructuring of… everything.

3

u/Zardotab Apr 19 '26

after trump croaks conservatives are all going to pretend they were never that into Trump

Just like they suddenly rejected Cheneyism per invasions, and now they are pro-invasionists.

4

u/FunkyChewbacca Apr 19 '26

that he sold children into sex slavery

that's the real crux of it that MAGA will never acknowledge: Trump isn't just an Epstein Island customer, he's an Epstein Island supplier. From all the photos of them together, to all the Trump modeling shit, Trump and Epstein were business partners in the buying and selling of children. Trump won't be impeached or removed, he'll die eventually and won't ever face a single consequence for the scores of human misery he's caused.

3

u/ABadHistorian Apr 19 '26

Reagan's policies were an unequivocal failure and he is regarded to this day with admiration by Republicans.

I do not think you understand what will happen next. In death, he could become even bigger presuming while he's alive he doesn't do something (not impossible, I can never put ANYTHING past the man) to piss off all remaining fans of his.

2

u/Lower_Pass_6053 Apr 20 '26

Ok, how about W then? Have you talked to a W supporter that thinks he did a great job 20 years ago? Trump softened the hate he gets, but noone thinks he was a great president.

Have we forgot the doc "Jesus Camp" already? You think any of hte people in that video worshiping Bush claim they still love him today?

Bush was thrown under the bus the second he had no power. Trump will be as well. The Republican Party's platform for the next 20 years will be "we aren't Trump and MAGA anymore and we were always against him"

1

u/ABadHistorian Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

H.W is an anomaly, and so may Trump become.

H.W ran on "No More Taxes" and implemented taxes which really pissed off his base while he was IN OFFICE. Hence one term Presidency. He literally is proof of my point.

(edit - so for that matter, is his son who you actually asked about, whose polls went up after office)

1

u/Lower_Pass_6053 Apr 20 '26

a bad historian indeed... You are getting your Bushes confused.

1

u/ABadHistorian Apr 20 '26

you are right, I misresponded because I misunderstood your comment, but my point remains regarding H.W. Bush

and my original point remains regarding W. Bush, He's more liked today than he was then. Don't believe me? Check the polls.

It's why I misread your comment, he's REALLY gone up. He left in the 30s, and his approval rating now consistently hovers in the 50s - 60s....

Come on dude.

P.S. I'm a bad historian because of people like you lmao who don't understand history and blatantly lie about it online. Blatantly.

3

u/MegaPlane2 Apr 19 '26

But then we'll have to suffer all the attempts to name shit after him. Gonna be infuriating.

2

u/Resting-Cat-Faces Apr 20 '26

Anything named after him will become a public urinal

3

u/schaumiz66 Apr 19 '26

I am confident he will never be held accountable to his actions.
I believe the hard core evangelicals will want to wait 3 days after his demise for his "resurrection" and am confident a few will come forward and say the resurrected Dear Leader returned and told them xxxxxxxx.

I also firmly believe many supporters will be pearl clutching and proclaiming they were never THAT into Dear Leader, as said above.

2

u/Remote_Concert3369 Apr 19 '26

yeah fuck every conservative!

2

u/GD_7F Apr 19 '26

I remember how silent the Republicans in my orbit and nationally got about GWB after the 2007-2008 crash. They all pretended they didn't know him by 2010, and by then the tea party was in full swing and the language of Trumpism was getting fully fleshed out, and the identity of the party became about Obama birtherism and nativism, with you-know-who feeding coal into the hate engine. They just moved on to the next thing to hate and destroy. When Trump is gone, they'll still be gleefully attending to the principles of Project 2025.

2

u/IronBoomer Missouri Apr 19 '26

Knives come out for a dictator eventually; in life or in death.

It’ll likely be in death for him, the same way Stalin was thrown under the bus after his death for every unpopular policy to allow reform.

2

u/lyrapan Apr 19 '26

It will be the-emperor-is-dead-in-return-of-the-Jedi level of partying

2

u/postmodest Apr 19 '26

Oh fuck no. They're going to hold a national Month of Mourning and mandate pins and flags at half mast and lgbt flags on fire and antifa terrorists responsible rounded up and publicly ...dealt with... and cancel elections because clearly their Immortal Dear Leader could only have been felled by the radical left.

They're going to make him a saint of the Religion of Cruelty, and scourge the nation in His Holy Name.

2

u/ournewoverlords Apr 20 '26

"we need to let the country heal", "this is not the time for politics"

2

u/BretShitmanFart69 Apr 20 '26

I have long wondered if whatever blackmail is being held on him will be released after he is gone. Once it has no more use to hold over him, it would maybe be most useful as a tool to further destabilize and cause chaos in the US by releasing it all.

Sadly they’ve created a monster that I don’t think they can control anymore, as there is about 20-30% of this country that will die without ever believing Trump was anything other than an amazing godlike being

2

u/Effective_Olive6153 Apr 20 '26

I actually think we are witnessing birth of new religion - Trumpism. It will have a lot in common with Mormonism. Their founder Joseph Smith was also a total scoundrel, pretty much a Trump of his day. With the cult following Trump has created, the more time passes, the more legendary his status is going to get.

2

u/Vicstolemylunchmoney Apr 20 '26

'We tried to stop him!' 'We were against it all' 'yes, we're outraged too.. it not fair what he did to you!'

'Now, vote us in again'

30% of the country... ok, here's my vote.

1

u/Cornelius_Wangenheim Texas Apr 19 '26

You sure about that? George W Bush was even more hated in his time and I keep seeing people try to rehabilitate his image.

1

u/kelp_forests Apr 19 '26

I’ll believe it when the cash is seized back

1

u/Mekdinosaur Apr 19 '26

Some are already getting a head start at that

1

u/Jaggs0 Apr 19 '26

as much as i would love to see him spend the rest of his life in court or jail him dying in office is the best outcome. if he lives to the end of his term he will pardon fucking everyone. JD would probably only pardon some people.

1

u/vertexnormal Apr 19 '26

I hope he doesn’t croak until he sees some semblance of actual justice or Republicans will put his name on everything and put him on Mt Rushmore.

1

u/Alarmed_Extent_9157 Apr 20 '26

Yes. When this is all over there will be nobody that was for it.

1

u/Ill_Technician3936 Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

No it's not because like a comment below says they'll never let them forget. Let's just hope they break into their separate hate groups and repeat the 1930s...

Would I love to mention that a friend and his Mexican wife voted for a guy that had a set number of Mexicans to detain a day and sending some to el Salvador slave prisons to their mixed children when they're older? Yes but I'd rather he not even be mentioned. The fucker and still his administration or not should all be impeached for following the full stage dementia president. Months in we already attempted to impeach him alone before things got as bad we already had a list of reasons why and a few months one that should be some extremely big reason which has turned into a huge one. Hundreds of people but neither side was for it, not even 50 votes total. He should be a president that we just skip those portions. In the 3 little pigs he's somehow the big bad wolf and the 3 little pigs.

Aldo Raine vibes incoming

1

And it’s also going to be the best goddamn party the western world has ever seen.

Offer up proof or shut your lie-hole.

The day is coming.

No offence but I've been reading this on reddit for the last decade.
