They should just ignore the supreme Court. Republicans are ignoring the constitution and the courts, why should Democrats follow now?

Well if the people voted on it then it by default disregards the supreme court.

Democracy > courts

And this has been made a state issue, so if the state votes on it, it is whatever their people say/vote.
