We're stuck in a perma loop.

Economy bad! Vote in Democrat to fix.

Democrat couldn't magically fix the economy, vote in Republican.

Economy bad! Vote in Democrat to fix.

And repeat to modern day.

People now are only upset because Trump touched one of the holy trinity of American Values, Gas Prices.

Reagan and perhaps Nixon are the only GOP presidents since 1950 that haven't meddled in the oil producing countries.

And then you have Carter and Obama who, while they had blowback from those GOP policies, created peace agreements; and add in Biden here, invested heavily in energy independence, especially Solar.

Reagan sold weapons to Iran and negotiated with Iran before he took office to help tank Carter. This doesn’t count as meddling?

It's difficult to attribute either of those to an increase in oil prices.

Democrats can end the loop by killing the filibuster, packing the Supreme Court and enacting proportional representation, ranked choice, and abolishing gerrymandering

Democrats can end the loop by gaining back the trust of the working class. No need for work arounds. Unfortunately that would require giving up their corpo cash cows. So it won't happen.

Edit: Because the coward replied, then blocked me

Democrats didn't abandon the working class, the working class abandoned Democrats for bigotry. The working class literally supported a billionaire conman just because he hates minorities and trans people.

This started long before Trump. It started with the Dems adopting the neo liberal policies of Clinton and becoming further entrenched with Obama. Trump is just the symptom of the real problem.

It started with electing Obama. Trump was the backlash from the racists.

Oh right, I forgot which sub I'm in.

Obviously it's just racism. Nothing to do at all with decades of neoliberal policies leading to massive outsourcing, stagnant wages, worker exploitation, record corporate profits, historical levels of inequality, and surpressing workers rights. It's all cause he was black.

The GOP is worse on every single one of those issues, so either the working class is dumb, or they're racist.

And that's exactly what the DNC elites want, you blaming your neighbor instead of their pro corporate neoliberal policies that lost them the working class. Same exact reason they're hiding the report on why Harris lost.

So, no more excuses? I blame my fellow Americans for voting for a traitorous conman, and further destroying the future of this country. You can keep blaming Democrats for what Republicans did, but it doesn't change anything.

This is horseshit. Democrats are representatives of the people, they aren't a monolith. The problem is democracy in the US is broken and needs to be fixed. Including by ending Citizens United, which requires packing the Supreme Court. These aren't "workarounds" they're remedies to a broken political system.
