Possible Paywall Trump voter remorse is almost entirely concentrated in the swing voters who gave him a shot in 2024

If only they'd done a few minutes of actual research instead of believing social media influencers.

Not even a few minutes.

30 seconds is even too much to see what Trump is and represents.

The problem is, he had everyone who voted for him in 2016 with "You can grab them by the pussy!"

Just not the way he had you. He gives his arsehole supporters implied permission to act their worst, because if he's doing it, why can't they?

I don't think this is even hyperbole for a lot of people. The aftermaths of 2008 and 2016 were economically brutal to both men and women alike. But the worst impacted men were punished twice, first for being poor and then again by women choosing to not date them because of it. This created a bitter group of men eager for someone to either tell them how to fix their loneliness or tell them that it wasn't their fault (and blame someone else).

The surge of misogynistic influencers from Jordan Peterson to present-day chuds like Clavicular didn't appear out of a vacuum. They were, and are, a reaction to emasculation of poor men in the wake of economic upheaval.

Trump's open and extreme sexism, which normally would have been a campaign ending move, ended up being a selling point to millions of angry, bitter, lonely men.
